Total microtransaction clown show and has shown how bad the trashware games have impacted the future of Warhammer video games. 

So this is going to be a State of Survival game with a 40K skin? At least balance will then be okay because the person who invests more via microtransactions will have the advantage over the F2P peasant folk.

If you buy all the DLC at full price then of course that's going to add up to quite a lot, but that's for content from over 30 years of WHFB with them going deep into the lore to add basically everything they can find to fill it out as much as they can. The majority of content is available from just buying the games, and even if don't buy the DLC it still shows up within your games in use by the AI.  Unless you specifically want to play using the specific stuff included then none of the DLC is necessary, You don't need to buy all all of it. It's not like Paradox games where if you don't buy them you're getting a sub-standard version of what amounts to a half-complete feature so without them you don't have the "proper" game.

 

I wouldn't conflate expansion pack DLC with microtransactions regardless though. They're quite different things.

We remember it, it's just not relevant. I mean we don't act like there should never be another Warhammer MMO because Age of Reckoning was shut down do we?
