I was contacted by a member whose rank reduced for no apparent reason. Looking into it, it appears that the system did something funky, reseting the member's achievement points total to 1 after they performed a certain action (and that's not supposed to happen). At least one other member appears to have been affected in the same way. There may be others that have been affected in this way, however.

How can you tell if you're one of the unlucky members that has been affected? Your rank (e.g., Battle-Brother, Veteran, etc.) will be low compared to what you recall and/or when compared to the achievement badges you have earned. You can see all of the achievement badges that you have earned in your profile, and you can see information about the rank progressions here. If things look off, feel free to post a reply in this topic to help us in our investigation.

Clearly Leandros has been at work here. Have you strayed from the teachings of the Codex Astartes?

At this point it looks like the creation of a club resets a member's achievement points to 1. I'm not sure why the system would do that.

Ah, it's obviously a command decision from the HLOT, then. Not going to complain - it gives Ork Snipers someone else to shoot at. :teehee:

I've gone through and adjusted the two members who I know were affected to the proper levels. It looks like the achievement to create a club reset their achievement points to 1. I waited a few weeks to observe their successive achievements to see if anything other weird things would happen, but it looks like everything else was normal, so it was just a matter of adding their previous achievement points to their post-jankiness achievement points. I'm now checking to see if any other members were affected so that I can fix their achievement points.

I'll leave this topic open so that members can post in here if this happens again in the future.
