The nova in person preview event is tonight and it looks like gw isn't doing a stream this evening

 

Anyone one in attendance to the show tonight who can post pictures assuming they allow them?

its not a preview event.. there is always the possibilities of in-person sneakpeaks like the pre-2020s conventions sometimes had in those glass cabinets, but its not a given.

"Taking the place of the traditional reveal, this new, more interactive event will feature early viewing of unreleased models, Q&A with the Games Workshop team, special interactive games and experiences, live art, special store discounts, and more!" (emphasis mine)

 

While, yes, it's not 100% guaranteed, unless they're planning on showing people the models they've already revealed (which, it is GW to be fair so that's a possibility), it sounds like there will be something new there

Unreleased models sounds exactly like they’re just showing models they’ve previewed but aren’t on sale yet tbh. 
 

So the new Chaos Dwarves, that sort of thing.

I guess it's possible that the originally intended reveals have been scooped and now they're simply showing off the models that have already been leaked? I mean, there's been quite a few leaks recently, so it's not totally far fetched that they've sorta run out of models that are close enough on the release timeline that it makes sense to show them off?

Well they’re ctan and the accompanying kill team aren’t until 2026, and when you take that away the leaks aren’t that many in number, with that said, like Tacoma it may be that we just get a reveal show next week in place of it, so not all hope is lost at least!

and the newer post on warcom makes it imho (sadly) even less ambigious that that is exactly what it is

 

Warhammer will be hosting a Wednesday night event including a team tournament for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a giant Space Hulk game, and a painting station where artists will paint pre-release miniatures live – alongside much more besides. Tickets are still available.

unlikely, the description of the new nova event predates even the announcement that tacoma would have a preview show. And thus far predates recent leaks.. from wich we know there would be enough to show off that comes before those releases... I think both the kill team set and the nightbringer where never planned to be revealed this year. ( third KT box of a season is a march release and usually a LVO reveal I think.)

 

I think for whatever reason they had long planned to switch the usual Nova reveal show to Tacoma ( wich never had one before )

Well that's a bummer, I had big hopes for a follow up wave to Saturnine to be revealed at Nova.

Yeah among other things.

 

With how clear the schedule is for 40k I'd think we get a bigger "end of edition campaign" that starts earlier ( like Psychic awakening did and the AoS ones do ) but those were also usually Nova announcements I believe.

 

Nothing stopping them from doing random previews any time though, I think last Nova had nothing for 40k, but got a random new Kill team edition preview a week or so later.

Well that's a shame if there isn't going to be anything new at all. I had seen some people saying that since we had quite a big show just a month ago there might not be much more GW are willing to show right away. With the Dark Eldar combat patrol disappearing I thought we'd be up to bat for a reveal but perhaps we'll just be getting a couple of Monday articles like Black Templars got, especially if we're only getting a couple of models.

Unless GW have a big preview out of nowhere what's the next event that likely to host one?

There is usually a warhammer day in October... this is the place where second box of the KT season is shown off. Its usually a well-filled preview event in recent years.

After that Grand Narrative Open in November.

Followed by LVO in January.

Regarding the bolded, during the last big tournament they had someone on stream painting all the newly revealed miniatures during the gameplay sections in its own window. I wonder if they'll do something similar.
