Note that the topic title has been changed to reflect the third party nature of the miniature. In addition, since we don't allow eBay links for advertising except via signatures, the link to the auction has been removed from the first post. Lastly, since this isn't really "news" or a "rumor," this topic has been moved. The model is of a character active during the Horus Heresy, but it's not a discussion topic about either the rules or the lore, making both the + WARHAMMER: THE HORUS HERSY + and + AGE OF DARKNESS + forums inappropriate. Many might instinctively assume that the + HERETIC ASTARTES / TRAITOR LEGIONES ASTARTES + forum might be correct since it is the proper place for discussion about the Iron Warriors Legion, whence Barabas Dantioch originated. However, the warsmith remained loyal to the Emperor during the events of the Horus Heresy. And since the + ADEPTUS ASTARTES / LOYALIST LEGIONES ASTARTES + forum is the proper forum for discussion about (a) loyalists, and (b) general issues common to both the loyalists and traitors among the Astartes, that is the forum into which this topic is being moved.

They'll almost certainly never do it, but a LEGO IDEAS style way to source ideas from the community would be pretty awesome. It could be for the Warhammer+ models, store anniversaries, or just alts, but I think there'd be an appetite for alternative treatments of some iconic characters and archtypes. For instance, I'm a huge fan of these alternative Eldar Aspect Warriors and think they'd make for a fun box.

After 11th Ed. the Primaris-ization project should be complete. They can spit out new unit types, and there's a mint to be made in Chapter specific upgrade kits, but I hope they focus a little effort on "exploring the studio space" with marine aesthetics more broadly.

If that was what eldar models actually looked like, I would be an eldar player. Those are amazingly cool looking even with wasp waists and the thunder thighs on the spiders and hawks. Sad part is, Druhkari models already have the basic shape on their current warrior and wych models, it wouldnt be too hard.
