Just saw this pop up on my feed, pretty early in the month for them to be dropping more free HH content!

Likely early as we're supposed to be getting the inductii rules this month too......I also wouldn't be hugely surprised if we get the second Journal up for preorder either.

Am I right in thinking that with the new allies rules I can just drop ten lesser daemons into any traitor list for fun? I've got a set of Juan Diaz horrors somewhere that would be perfect for this.

Sure seems that way to me, at first look!

Huummm...maybe it's just me, but I don't find what "Immaterial" trait does. Can someone help me,please?

But,apart of that this pdf is interesting. Nice touch putting the base sizes for each unit!Very appreciated.

I actually have this problem with Traits. For some reason, they don't like defining them. They don't do anything on their own, but they allow certain other things to interact with them. Like "Shield" isn't explained anywhere, but then you realize that what it does is allow you to use the Shield advanced reaction.

...but that's DIFFERENT than weapon traits which seem like they categorize them for other rules that interact with them: like Bolt weapons and Imperial Fists getting bonuses with Bolt weapons, but Bolt doesn't do anything on its own.

All this to say...I can't figure out what Immaterial is, besides the category of weapon it is. Maybe one of the abilities in there "makes all Immaterial weapons +1S" or whatever.

Another free download, I can assume we won't be seeing daemons in their own liber. The list looks fun enough, but lacking some more if the tzeentch flavour options the 2.0 one had, but probably workable.

I picked up some models last edition and will have to try and get them painted up to support my legions!

Note the second paragraph page 1:

There will be forthcoming army-lists for the 4 gods. Also mentioned in the community post.

These traits that allows interaction with rules, is completely different from weapon traits, that allows interaction with rules?

Literally just keywords so that rules can target them.

Would you prefer that Shieldwall had a list of all the types of shields that are valid, that have to be FAQ'd for every new type of shield that gets released?

As for Immaterial trait, the Sisters of Silence Anathema rule interacts with it. Possibly the traitor liber have an interaction.

No, just wish there was a quick index of Traits in any given book and what they do. Same as they have for Special Rules, Subtypes, Wargear, etc. Not sure why they even exist as something separate from Special Rules. "Models with the shield Trait are able to use the Shieldwall reaction" instead of flipping all around saying "where are the traits? what do these do?" until you stumble on the one thing that activates them.

This was supposedly an edition geared toward new players, clear and improved in terms of rules, etc., but it's a disaster for both veterans and newbies, because the information is scattered, almost hidden, or simply left out (they forget it or think it's not important).

Just a small index to help clarify these things and others isn't asking too much, is it?

That's my big issue with 3.0, all the rules are hidden away in different sections and not grouped together. Sure 2.0 had similar issues but not to that extent

I haven't really seen much of heresy rules but how do allies work

Would I be able to take like Corbax and some lesser daemons in a word bearers or death guard  force

May help to bulk out a traitor force with daemons as I slowly build up a heresy force with new edition

You can take Corbax in the lord of war detachment and the lesser daemons in an allied detachment, only restrictions now is that the main army has to be traitor, and the normal restriction for allied detachments, in total they can't be more than 50% of your army points.
