I think they were for the Japanese market but some FLGS stores had them here in the UK. I love check patterns... I hate painting them but I love the end look of them. Painting them on a marine shoulder pad is the worst though. Anyway, this dude is a one off but turned out quite nice I think. A better-scaled Mk7 also feels like a vision of what might have been (or what might be, someday) Lamenters shoulder pad looks good! Chequerboard are hard. I know this because my Dark Angels are staring at me accusingly from my desk because I haven't painted theirs on yet.
