Hey folks. I've been painting exhaustively since the army box came out, I wanted to finish the troops in the box before tooting my horn, lordy knows this project wasn't going to get off the grounds without a round of Bloodclaws and Grey Hunters as a foundation.

Very nice Wispy. Love the cloak work on the priest.

Where are you using him?

I'm using him in my display cabinet? I honestly haven't played a game in 7 years.

Speaking of cloak work I started on a head taker. I'm glad they're using tattered pelts instead of capes so we can have fun with texturing.

Really good paintjob, is there some gradient on grey parts?

on the wolf fur? Yes.

On the armour? No. Trick of the light. I've experimented with zenithal but I'm not really up to doing that sort of standard for the armour across an entire army.

Really love the lightning effects. How did you achieve that, if you don't mind me asking? Would be keen to do something similar on some lightning claws!

I paint the weapons normally and then I draw the lightning bullets on the finished blade with runefang steel. Then I whip out Aethermatic blue contrast and give the lightning bolts two coats with that. Then I make a mix of white and laminan medium and then draw on the inside of the lightning, concentrating it most where bolts cross. Will add more Aethermatic blue as needed if I add too much white.

Thank you, I think people either go full glow or full metal, this hybrid look is really striking. I think it would look good in neon green and magenta, too! Thanks for the inspiration.

Well, done the last model. After 6 months of painting, the army box is painted?

Whats next? I primed a couple Wolf Scouts and a fourth Headhunter. After that I will vibe what I paint next between the two.

Very nice, i have been putting off my headtakers for a while now but your amazing work has inspired me to start them.  i love how universal your whole army looks, i went the route of different greys on different squads, i also have a mix of Ragnars great company and Bran's.

If the base trim the same colour as the armour as that also looks good.

oh my, these are wonderful! I really love the armour work you've done, very clean and some of the nicer fur I've seen also.

Thank you. One of the best things that came out of the refresh is all the influencers have a billion different tutorials for wolf fur.

I'm used to heavily relying on washes and dry brushing with mixed results, I wanted to find something a little cleaner. The main tuts I've followed and tried to adapt are from the Painting Coach over on Youtube, his Wolf Priest tutorial has an interesting method that I like the most. His Logan tutorial also has 3 methods of fur with the same palette which I used for my Hunting Wolves and the Battle Leader.
