My guess was Van Saar since I don't think they have a modern shotgun design yet, but then neither do Squats, hmmm.

It's quite an odd style that's much more difficult to identify what it fits in with. It doesn't seem Space Marine as it's too short and small, it's too "sophisticated" looking for Imperial Guard or Mechanicus, It could be from Necromunda but it doesn't really seem to fit any of the existing factions too well, would have thought maybe Enforcers but the details aren't very close to anything they have.

Inquisitional stormtroopers for kill team ? Its imho one of those will be brought back sooner or later teams ( like frateris militia and arbites where)

If it's something new for Kroot that would be pretty cool but if it's a new Xenos race making and appearance on the table top that would b really exciting.

Van Saar don't use slug shotguns. They have their own laser version. But it can be for Necromunda. A bounty hunter or something similar to House Greim Military Attatche bodyguard

That's an very intriguing rumour engine - great spot on the design pattern - a whole new bit of alien tech. Could be for Kroot, or perhaps Deathwatch, or some mercenary... or someone quite new.

I always hoped that Kill Team would lead to some merc/scout units for new (or old but never visualised) xenos races. 

 

They've made lots of cool kill teams for imperial factions that would never have had their own full codex, like breachers or arbites, and done other cool things like the corsairs, but maybe now finally we are getting to the xenos like hrud, tarellian dog soldiers, etc.
