Demons in 11th ed

Hi all, just wanted to check in and see if there are any rumors or anything else floating around for demons for next edition. Do you think they'll get a codex in 11th? I'm pretty sure they aren't getting one this edition.

No rumours yet, sorry. My guess is that Daemons won't be getting a codex back. I don't think GW would have taken the risk of ill will if they were going to bring them back again next edition.

That's my worry, though one thing they could do is make an Imperial Agents like codex that works and throw in daemons, dark mech and the lost and the damned in it and then you could grab some CSM for a daemonkin like detachment? I just really hope daemons get some form of support next edition that is better then what they got in the God aligned legion codexes.

Well there are the 4 "Grotmas" Daemon detachments so the army is still playable.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I hope GW just rip the plaster off and fully put the Demons into the Cult Marines codexes in 11th.

We've got the half-done implementation from the 10th Cult Marines, but I feel we'll get full AOS-style integration where they're just another part of the army and not a very specific subset of units tied to a single detachment.

As for where Be'lakor should go, I think into CSM would be the most likely place.
I think CSM will get some kind of modification to the "Steal Cult Marines" rule to also allow them to Steal some Daemons from those codexes as well. (IMO Chaos Knights will probably not get a rule like that but instead it might be a detachment thing like the Fiefdoms detachment.

That could work, but I would rather they remained their own thing.  It'd be like if they just stuffed Chaos Knights into the CSM codexes. It was nice having a Chaos faction that wasn't tied to Marines and they have been around as a separate thing since 4th edition. I know we still currently have Chaos Knights, but they are much more recenet. It would be nice if Chaos had a bit more variety. I mean the Imperium faction has how many different sub factions with codexes now?

Yeah, but again no Crusade support. I really wish they would have received something in a White Dwarf or on their website. Who knows, maybe they will before the edition ends or maybe I just missed it somewhere.

No rumour but my guess is that every daemon will go into there god´s specifik legion, so Tzeentch daemon into Thousand sons etc. And we will have no more daemon army as we know of today. But instead we will get a new chaos daemon army, more based around Vashtorr and daemonic machines (and inf). Mix of daemon and mechanical.
