MoriyaSchism
I ran into a bit of a hurdle with my conversions so I'm looking for a way to expedite the making of cabling on power armour. Are there any companies that sell flexible cabling I can use to replicate the style of cables you see on Mark 5, 6 and 7 power armour? It doesn't have to be cable either, a custom green stuff press mold or roller for ribbed piping would be good too. I'm trying to recreate this style of cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Solution Grotsmasha Posted September 14 Solution Share Posted September 14 (edited) I think it's either / both Zinge Industries and Greenstuff World sell greenstuff rollers for cable making. I think you could get very close by rolling a cable and after letting it sit a little, flatten it into a rectangular shape vs. a round one. EDIT: Flexible Resin Cables from Zinge Cablle Rollers from Greenstuff World Edited September 14 by Grotsmasha Firedrake Cordova and MoriyaSchism 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386684-looking-for-a-solution-for-power-armour-pipes-and-cables/#findComment-6132168 Share on other sites
Karhedron
Guitar wire might work best. MoriyaSchism 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386684-looking-for-a-solution-for-power-armour-pipes-and-cables/#findComment-6132175 Share on other sites

It seems Zinge Industries sells something similar. Thanks for the suggestion. At the very least, it might be possible to use one of the wound strings to create a greenstuff mould (as greenstuff may be easier to work with). The easiest and most available solution are small zip ties. I used them to replicate the cabling on the legs for MK V Marines. Flexible and you can use plastic glue. jokaero weaponsmith
You can use green stuff and a fine toothed comb. Roll out tubes of green stuff between sheets of hard plastic to desired thickness then roll tubes between plastic and comb to create the cabling. Using green stuff and pressing the cable tie to make the rib detailing on the mark five is less fiddly than the cable tie it’s self Firedrake Cordova 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386684-looking-for-a-solution-for-power-armour-pipes-and-cables/#findComment-6134128 Share on other sites
