Current Jump Captains can wield both sets of armaments that these two models can show, in a single datasheet. Yes, but my point is that you cannot take a relic shield with a power weapon or a power fist, nor can you take a thunder hammer with a pistol. Now obviously the idea solution to this would be a return to the weapon lists of yore, however since GW aren't going to let up on the "you take only what's in the box" mandate, then it would be nice if we got to at least have a bit of freedom with the few options left to us, and for that to happen, it would apparently have to be in a single kit. Lord Nord in Gravis Armour
Between this guy, the MPK Terminator Captain, and Feirros, we really seem to have found ourselves in a bold new era where Captains suddenly don't need cloaks to remind us who's in charge. The bling giveth, the bling taketh away. (Then again, maybe Cato just stole all three of their cloaks to make the quilt he's draped in). Seems like he wants to gently tap something with that hammer, or maybe he's offering to give it away. I think it's because the wrong leg is forward for a power stroke, and they're little skipping legs instead of doing something decisive. Love that shield shape, bling and gubbins on him, be great to see some more of them on new assault Termies. In general, GW's newer "action movement" Space Marines have very bad motion. They are either frozen in an awkward in between like Aggressors or they are in a nonsensical pose that would not give them any momentum or balance. In this case, I think the pose is supposed to represent the captain taking off with his weapon pointed forward rather than landing. Hopefully not intended to be landing anyway, or else they did it again.
