Looking for an off-white / tan brush-on (or spray-on) paint for Knights

Hello! I've been really wanting to make a Xana II traitor knight army for Horus Heresy, and that of course requires a nice off-white / tan paint!!

 

The issue is, I don't have an airbrush, and tbh they don't look very fun to use (I prefer brushing everything on!), so I'm looking for a paint that has good coverage and would be relatively easy to brush on a knight (with all their flat panels), or alternatively spray on (though this option is less favorable to me as I live in an apartment with no balcony so I'd have to either apply it inside, which I've heard is not a good idea, or go out onto the street or something). I have heard Rakarth Flesh recommended but figured it couldn't hurt having more options!!!!

 

Furthermore, if you have examples of minis you've painted with the color, I'd love to see them!!! Especially if they're of Xanite origin  Thanks!!! -Madeleine :3

Wraithbone primer might be a good starting point. Not my models but the photo below is a useful comparison to white or grey primer.

Brainmatter Beige from The Army Painter is another good off-white/tan color. Close to Wraithbone from Citadel.

It is also a 1:1 match for their Brainmatter Beige paint bottles, so you can do touchup on it easily.

I'd suggest Colour Forge Ossified Earth is worth a look.

Colour Forge Ossified Earth is a good colour match for Morghast Bone from Citadel. Its a great spray, I use it to prime ready for yellow.

I know it doesn't answer your paint question, but the people over at Artis Opus use their round drybrushes to stipple paint onto large panels -  I don't know if that's of interest as an idea/approach  (obviously, there are similar products which are cheaper). I did once paint a Rhino by hand, and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Bone Charm Primer by Scale 75. I sprayed the righthand Tech Thrall fairly lightly. I was having spray issues with the second Tech Thrall and instead of a light dusting the coat was a lot heavier. This is probably more what you'd get if you brushed by hand. The Castellax is Bone charm painted over with more Bone Charm stippled on and then a thin coat of Ratling Grime. It might be a little pale for your liking for Xana's colour, but I intend to apply an oil wash later to warm the tone slightly once I've got the iconography sorted.
