I'm sorry it has taken so long for me to get off my prosterior and actually start this, the prompting from Joker kinda helped :rolleyes:

 

any way what i have already is all the applicants who previously posted in the thread AFTER the crash (as seen in "Hall of Honour". i have been conversing with the original creator of the thread, Nephren-ka, who has taken it upon himself to build his own army using the influence of frater and mods/admin as the minis. this as you could see, is a large task in it self and the original plan for entries of a "mini-me" from the board members has fallen to the side.

 

this is where i have stepped up and taken the reins.

 

same as before:

 

1 - RESEARCH

firstly read the Index Astartes: Legio Bolter and Chainsword fluff for answering most parts of the colour scheme, eg. checks, where to paint red, chest eagles etc...

 

2 - ENLISTMENT

check what is available in the list and post or PM me your intention to join, your mini's name and former chapter

 

3 - DESIGN

3a - submit a mini depicting yourself. all mini's should reflect yourself somehow eg. wears glasses = bionic visual receptors, gunner in military service of your country = heavy bolter, has an afro hair-do the size of a small european car = modeled accordingly.

3b - model your mini to your chosen spot on the list eg. heavy weapon, assault weapon, combat servitor *NOTE* tactical marines can be modeled with a bolter or a bolter AND a chainsword, however the "counts as" rule leaves the door open for artistic license, so really try to keep it codex legal unless you have a really good exuse not to

3c - write some fluff that tells a story of your WH40K persona (try to entangle some RL links eg. served in middle east for your country in RL = lead an assault on a manufactorium at the Iquiris Port in the Battle for Armageddon, family member died = Eldar raiders attacked your garrison town killing half the population and taking the other half for labour slaves)

 

4 - PAINT

for inspiration in painting schemes, see <a href=http://bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?showtopic=84547 target="_blank>this thread</a>. being blood company the left kneepad/greive should be red. any color scheme (either RT or modern) is acceptable.

 

5 - POST

to get others inspired have some WIP shots (if you can), otherwise all finished photos and fluff should be posted in here

 

*NOTE* - if you are wanting to do a second mini, you must submit a battle brother first unless you previously had permission and had submitted a support unit before the crash eg. GREY88 and his assassin or Chaptermaster Graymantle and his tech-marine. this include vehicles: LR/LRC, LS, rhinos and varients and dreadnoughts. just do a battle brother first and then the second mini or vehicle.

 

 

i apologies to all if i have left stuff out but everyone should know the drill by now :unsure: , but don't let that stop you from letting everyone know what i have missed.

now to the interesting stuff. i have only the names from before as previously stated and have not yet assigned all ranking positions.

 

Blood Coy is a mish-mash of different squads, so it is not un-common for scouts, tactical squads and termiators to be side by side in the same company.

 

below is what is on offer so far. i've had a go at trying to place them in as an original position as possible, it will take a little playing to get everyone a position (bikes in the assault squads etc) and it is expandable if we get more of one type of unit choice eg. the last list had 2 command squads etc... and of course rank will be fleshed out based on combination of fluff, WIP shots and finished photos posted in this thread

@Tigron: of course you may join. the requirements are:

 

1 - PM or post notification for intention to join, your mini's name, former chapter and where you would like to be positioned eg. assault, scouts, bike squadron, predator annihilator etc... (this is a first in best dressed option)

 

2 - build, paint and take photos of the mini-you both WIP and finished product from the standard angles and any you deem necessary to show it off

 

3 - post your photos (WIP and FINI) plus your mini's name, former chapter and some fluff

 

4 - sit back and bask in your own glory, that you have joined the greatest and yet the most mysterious chapter know to the upper reaches of the Imperium

Do the inquisitors have to be in the Legio colour scheme, or do we have a little more artistic license for these?
