They occasionally pop up on etsy, but afaik those might not be directly associated with him. And technically, if one only needs the files, they could always DM him on stuff like Instagram and ask to buy a copy of the files.

I don’t have instagram but I’ll look to try to find a spot to email/message him. He had some NL terminators that were amazing

edit: just looked at purple site to message him and he has a message up saying don’t message him for models he won’t sell them. Bummer

Pity. Guess that etsy guy (spoilers in my last comment) remains the only avenue. Gotta check later if I secured some copies somewhere...

ANCIENNT IN TERMINATOR ARMOUR - £29.00
TERMINATOR ASSAULT SQUAD - £42.50
ULTRAMARINES: FERREN AREIOS - £28.00
WHITE SCARS: SUBODEN KHAN - £38.50

£29 for an ancient!! barmy

Ancient price doesn't seem crazy to me. I'm just not interested in the model as much because I find his rules underwhelming.

Thankfully 11th edition is out soon, so he might get some more interesting abilities and the mini is now readily available at the very least. I want to be more excited about the Terminators in general.

Agreed. The only banner bearers that are worthwhile are those built into squads. +1OC for an elite infantry unit can be handy. None of the other Ancients bring enough to be worth their cost. Some (like the Bladeguard Ancient) don't even bring any proper wargear themselves.

I think Ancients arent that bad. Getting +1 to hit and eventually +1 to wound is pretty helpful in addition to the occasional +1 OC. Someone is going to kill a terminator without a lot of trouble. Then with the special banner in Lysander's detachment he becomes a mini-lysander. The twin termie brick is one of my fun lists to play. The first turn they drop odds are they are OoMing anyway so they dont need the Ancient but after that it becomes useful to go after non-OoM targets which happens pretty often as they get whittled down.

Really wish we could see the Ancient just folded back into being Squad Options, like with the revamped Sang Guard.  Model wise those are awful, but datasheet wise, I think it's a lot better to have the Ancient designation basically be a wargear option, as it doesn't bog the squad down with a bad character when they may have wanted a better one.

Similar to how AoS have Bannermen/Musicians be an upgrade to a squad, I'd prefer that route for 40k as well.

I don't understand the need for both 'command squad' style banners and stand alone Ancient banners. I'd have preferred a Terminator command squad with a built in Ancient.

Whilst I can see the appeal for having a separate Ancient for smaller games where you want someone to carry the company standard without a full command squad, a Terminator command squad kit would be cool. Of course, you could easily convert one out of the Terminator kit, but GW is allergic to the concept of a unit or loadout that isn't represented by a very specific kit.

Cough, cough  "specific kit = Deathwing command squad"

I would be more than happy to have a this as a specific squad again!

Preorders going up in Australia for this on Saturday 22nd Nov, for release around two weeks later. Managed to snag Iron Halo on the 15th, so between the two, I've got a lot of assembly coming up in December.

Running the risk of a new Deathwing Command Squad kit coming out down the line, but I've bought some bits from the old ones (mostly just torsos, which I can slice up to make sure I have enough greeblies to kitbash onto the new termies). Also have spares from the 10 deathwing knights and 6 ICC I already have. Can't wait to get started!
