Vallejo are launching a new metallic paint line with 80 colours. Juan Hidalho has put up a first look you tube video here

The paints look very impressive. Any EC, TS, AL, or painters of metallic schemes should certainly take a look.

From the description I was expecting an expanded version of the Metal Colour line (although how you'd get to 80 colours that way I don't know) - I should have twigged it's coloured metallics. Reminds me of the old metallic green/purple/blue GW did back in the 1990s ...

I turned away from Vallejo after their mass formula change, but we'll see how this pans out - their Metal Colour range is fantastic but these are evidently a different formula. Would be nice to have some interesting high quality metallics to offer an alternative to some of the more unique Scale 75 metallics.

Never understood why they didn't add at least a little more to that line. Real pity

Watched the video, looks really cool! So many awesome paints coming out nowadays, looking forward to trying some of these out too.

Is that half-built Necron on my desk winking at me??

These look quite nice, definitely something I'd like to get my hands on and test out. They could be very nice for Heresy Thousand Sons and Alpha Legion.

not sure how much of a market there is in such a wide range of metallic colous, but hey, great for those who need them.  Vallejo metallics are my favourite metallics bar none.  They go on smooth as butter and have fantastic coverage....best metallics bar none.

yeah i wonder how well these will actually sell. the vallejo metal color range are my go to, hopefully the airbrush ones here are similar consistency - will wait for some non-sponsered reviews. but i don't play necrons or metal SMs, so I can't actually think of many reasons for picking any of these up, even if they look fantastic.

Wow, so much possibilities with this new line.

Still, I will have to think about it, cause I'm starting to have more paints that unpainted miniatures and that scares me.

I saw this video last night, when he said it was the largest range of metallics yet I thought to myself "Yeah, right, you haven't heard of Darkstar then?", then when he said there were 80 paints in the range I nearly spat out my imaginary drink. I gast was well and truly flabbered, and the paints themselves look pretty good. I'll have to keep an eye on these.
