I'm very curious to see some blend tests for these. I've been struggling with a unified  scheme for a AdMech/Sallies/Sons of Medusa/Dark Krakens/Saturnyne Rams? force for a while. It going to look kinda busy no matter what, but quality color metallics with washes does actually open up some new options.

They sell a Metal Colour Varnish already.

I have a bottle of that stuff and it is a nightmare to airbrush. It tends to bead up at the slightest provocation.

Juan Hidalgo did some blending in his most recent showcase, and it seems to work out fine.

Obsidian Black could be great for an Iron Hands scheme. Hope it's not like Scale 75 Black Metal where it's a darker gunmetal and not close to metallic black.

Black metal is a fantastic colour, but as you said, it's not metallic black.

So we are talking about 20 colours with a highlight and shade, if we look at it from that perspective? Not as impressive from that point of view, but if the paints handle well I'm still very interested.

Forum duplicated my text again.

I've picked up an aged metal set at Scale Model Challenge. They were available for regular purchase there. Will report on how they feel after I had a play around with them.

Gave them a quick whirl and first impressions: it's okay. Covers nicely, the colour comes across well, but it is VERY shiny. Overpowering my more muted painting style. Another thing which is more a pet peeves is that the metallic particles are rather large which is a thing I don't care for.

All in all I've not found a use for them yet, but if you want to get some very bright sparkly metallics in your armies these seem good for that. I reckon they'll shine (pun intended) with metallic armies like custodes, stormcast, heresy metallic schemes and the likes.

Glad I wasn't going crazy when I thought "the flakes seem quite big?" when watching some of the influencer videos (particularly the latest Angel one). Guess when more youtubers get access to them the reaction may be more muted (pun not intended). I'm looking forward to Vince Venturella's review since he hates most TMMs.

The Army Painter and Two Thin Coats coloured metallics seem to have a finer flake, at least going by swatches and models I've seen, albeit without the same variety of colours.
