The best part isn't the Titus miniature, it's that Wade Pryce looks well.  He had been working through health issues and I just realised that's why he had this, I think Brother ADB put it best, "elegant pallor of consumption" (like the Blood Angel Zephon).

The former Product Manager in me really likes this, because I meet these young newcomers in the Warhammer Store and this is how they conceptualise information, like in Wikia article format.  It may not be for you and me, but a lot of players would find this useful...and it'd be a GREAT gift for friends who are Warhammer-curious.

I must have missed this one entirely - https://www.dk.com/uk/book/9780241777176-warhammer-40000-words-of-war/

At £7.99 it's cheap enough to be a pretty reasonable stocking filler or similar, and small enough to carry in a pocket like some kind of Ecclesiastical Preacher.

"Now, what do we think... yes page 28 accurately sums up my feelings to the dishwasher this morning."

Book is worth it for the name pronunciation guide alone.

The definitive answer to how the names should sound, once and for all lol

I don't care what it is officially, I'm gonna keep calling Abaddon "a bad 'un".

I guess they had to wring some cash from a  "canonical overview" before they finish taking a wrecking ball to the canon which, according to some of their own authors, never existed in the first place.

The only reason Im planning on picking it up is because my gf wants one (part as a joke, part as not), so she can look people up when we watch warhammer stuff (preview shows if/when they come back, valrak, etc)

That being said Im going to be really curious to see

a)how up to date it is, and

b)how they describe certain characters if they have multiple novels featuring them. Having an encyclopedia is pretty definite on the whole "This is what the character is" and not the "everything is a lie, what is canon?"

I preordered mine when it was first announced back in May, before they said that Titus was included. So he's a nice bonus

I'll stick it on the shelf next to the "40k The Ultimate guide" I bought last year and maybe have a look at it sometime

Looks like there’s billboard ads out there, with a competition attached (screenshots from instagram).

It’s weird, but I can’t think of a time I’ve seen Warhammer adverts out there in the wild (from GW or otherwise)…

Must be the first time GW advertised any book...

This makes me even more convinced that they won't be retiring that Gravis model. He's the centre of their marketing campaign lol

Retiring the Gravis model just as it gets used as the centre of a marketing campaign would be peak GW, to be honest.

From those previews it looks like the explanation of each character is extremely brief.  Seeing two Phoenix Lords sharing a page spread with most of the pages taken up with the box art... You could probably get most of this information by reading the product pages on the GW store.
