hd3 Posted October 4 Share Posted October 4 So I have 7 Death Guard bases with holes like this one here that I need to fill in somehow so I can paint over them and ideally leave them as smooth as possible. I can't switch to other bases because a lot of the models have a foot or similar as part of the base. Can anyone suggest a good method to fill in the gap easily? Madao Posted October 4 Share Posted October 4 (edited) If it is a slot (has some depth), then Green Stuff or Milliput. Sky Potato Posted October 4 Share Posted October 4 If that’s a hole for a foot peg for an easy to build model, I’d plug that with a bit of sprue and copious amounts of plastic glue, and then cover with texture paint. apologist Posted October 5 Share Posted October 5 The old trick for visible slottabase gaps was a little bit of masking tape. It covers the gap, and when you add basing material the PVA or other glue makes it permanent. Should work a treat here; cut a little patch and add a dab of superglue to harden it up.
