Are there different types of human skin?

Would some skin be better for stretching? Would some absorb fluids better?

This is all hypothetical still. Just curious. I'm not an expert in skin (yet).

Two types, and both can be found on every human; Hairy and hairless, with hairless being the thicker of the two, but not enough to differentiate too much.  And in general, out of setting, human skin is too thin for any practical application beyond the ethical concerns, and the most you'll see is preserved skin like preserved tattoos. Though apparently the Scythians made frequent use of human skin.

Also in general you want leather to repel water, not absorb water.

Reminder to myself. Never annoy Nephaston.

That leaves open a nice grim dark story of a Night Lord targeting fat people because they have more skin and a harder time getting away.

Don't make me run! I'm full of Corpse Starch!
