Lately I've been interested in "obscure" and not so famous space marine chapters.

I found them intriguing and you can use your ideas and imaginations to create something new, since there is not so much about them. lore or models speaking.

Star Phantoms are most fond of martyrs, great use of ranged and dangerous weapons no matter the cost, they shun contact with other imperial forces and they are quite fixated with death.

They were instrumental in the resolution of the badad war.

So with this project I want to give life to their traits and I had a leviathan dreddy who was crying for some paint for a while now...

I used liquid green stuff to add texture and various bits.

To convey their martyrs and death fixation. Also for me some liquid green stuff for textures.

The base will be very simple since it's already busy with two models, one very large.

This is before the grimdark treatment:

And after :

Now to add some details and finish touch for the marine.

He looks good, but I'm wondering if there's something that can be done to make the purity seals visually distinct from the armour, as they're quite a similar colour?

That is a great suggestion!

I will add some sepia shade, add contrast from the armour.

Thank you @Firedrake Cordova.

And here we go. Done. Cool Marine Chapter and I was glad to finally did a leviathan dreddy.

Thank you to @Firedrake Cordova for the purity seals painting tip and thanks to @Tzen for the photography tips(still a lot to learn).
