Tallarn Commander
There are some brilliant conversions here! I, Tallarn Commander, vow to complete the following for the 2025 Jokaero Challenge: A Bezerker calmly sitting and relaxing in his den reading and sipping a cup of tea. Here is the Bezerker miniature along with what will become his book, his arms, and his cup of tea I shall name him Zorzi in honor of the World Eaters apothecary who joined Fabius Bile's Consortium. And I'll make this conversion into a sort of diorama. Here is the backdrop to the diorama, replete with Zorzi's cat. I have to get ready for an early December tournament, so I won't be able to do much on this conversion till then. The Fabius Bile books are great. As someone who once owned a cat that nearly destroyed a vet treatment room and had to be held down by 3 people and needed 2x sedative, while creating pools of human blood, I am not surprised Khorne also has a heart for kitties. Deus_Ex_Machina
I have built three plant monsters maybe 20 years ago and only fully painted one. So if I work on the remaining two for that challenge would their entries be legal? They consist of cables which are wrapped around each other. The cables in question are covered up by gauze bandage with sand on top of it to give it a more rugged surface. The head of the creatures consist of a real walnut. Pics: https://ibb.co/album/ZzWgSS I can't see why these should not be allowed. If anyone laughs about this, back in the day during 5th Edition, when I went on tournaments, someone had created a "Black Sheep" army. From the comedy horror movie featuring zombie sheep. The army featured various farm animals and tractors, all not GW models but these plastic farm animals you can buy at the supermarket counter. Painted up to be ravenous zombies. I cannot remember exactly anymore what faction they were fielded as, probably Guard or Orks, but as silly as this idea was, it was VERY effective. And as soon as you, as the opponent, knew which models stood for what, it was no problem anymore (I myself did not play against him, but sure did admire the creativity). Bouargh
As this is a freestyle exercice, I will enlist and pledge my Votann Smash Khârl with Dual Rokit-Jetpack: It is waiting for being painted since years and I had the idea to resume it during CtA25, which I did not do... GSCUprising
I'll pledge one item: the Valkyrie Night Rovfugl. Drilled it and primed it. Hope it does not disappoint. Were I to add a second, it'd be Barcza and his spec ops squad (read: Kasrkin) who deploy in it. Pics to follow, once I get home. GSCUprising
I know it doesn't look great at the moment, but this is the Night Rovfugl, a Valkyrie modified for spec ops (Kasrkin) assaults. The wires, which I have not trimmed or glued in-place yet, are for the LEDs I've installed. The port wing has a red LED, the starboard a green, in the same sense as a ship. The crew compartment has a red, simulating a colour not to disrupt night vision, while the pilots will be illuminated in green, simulating their screen displays. The front facing light, on the opposite side of the lascannon, is white, like a strobe light to help it hunt. I've reversed the wings, compared to a normal Valkyrie, and modified the tailplane. The engines will be covered in plasticard to simulate a more stealthy appearance and the inlets will be vented and the outlets will be baffled and styled along the lines of an F-22. Thoughts most welcome. Edited October 24 by GSCUprising Edit - Words are hard. Rusted Boltgun
Further to my earlier pledge post, I've got the materials together for two models, I would like to do a third but it will depend on whether I find the bits and the time left for the challenge. In the meantime There was enough converting going on in that photo. So a pointing arm had a hand removed and replaced with the hand holding a plasma pistol which was replaced with an auto pistol. Brother Anderson
These are all looking great! Count me in, I'm planning on converting a forgefiend from an AoS Ossiarch Bonereaper Gothizzar Harvester. Edit: I've made a start on the bones (booo) of the conversion, step one is covering any voids with chaos armour plates from my bits box to make a mostly enclosed body. I've also made a very rough start on the top armour, though a lot more work to do there. Valkia the Bloody
Some really exciting ideas! Keep it up! Well, there is kind of progress from me, I primed my Pyrovore conversion. Not sure if I will finish him in November, though. My fingers are itching to paint him, but I want to finish up some "normal" Tyranid models first. This will be a treat to paint for me. Brother Anderson Posted yesterday at 04:08 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:08 PM Update number two: I've done the main structural work on the arms of the Daemon engine, namely mating the cannon arm to the body as well as creating the mechadendrites supporting the gun; I did those by clipping apart some spare ones from a Maulerfiend, drilling holes through them then feeding a plasticard rod through them. The forgefiend guns are probably too big for the Harvester I'm using as a basis for the conversion so I opted to only use one: if anyone asks when I put him on the tabletop I'll just say the one Gatling gun spins really fast. I've also added some greebles to the main body, mainly smaller mechadendrites and two halves of the Daemon prince power pack to cover some pegs from the original kit. Next up is detailing the top carapace, adding an ammunition belt of some description and then seasoning with greebles until I'm happy with it. Alby the Slayer Posted yesterday at 06:17 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:17 PM There is little time and I'm swamped with work and another big project but I will try it because it's fun and I love this kind of things. Thank you @Valkia the Bloody for this great challenge. I, Alby the Slayer, vow to create a exodite aeldari in a virgin world. A worldsinger which is something I created, it's not official lore. She/he is something of bonesinger for the asuryani but it's connected to the world as exodites do. The idea is to have a project of tranquillity but also sadness. These are most of the bits I will use. Good luck to everybody! Can't wait to see all the amazing conversions and kitbashes.
