GSCUprising
New floor installed into the Night Rovfugl. A little wiring tidy up, also. Will be done by the end of the week! Still have to weather it, etc. Will get that done this eve once the glue has dried. GSCUprising
Sorry I've not been posting much of late; been a little under the weather. Here's my WIP Valkyrie compared to a standard one. Still mostly dry-fitted, but you should be able to see some differences. I intend on going into town tomorrow and getting some cable connectors in order to show off the lighting. Had a small, glue related accident so have some tidying up to do! However, the inside, which is basically complete, was not affected. Phew. Once assembled, I've a plan for the engine cowlings. Lathe Biosas
Amazing work. This makes me want to buy a Valkyrie for my Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. (It still doesn't make me want to build and paint it though. You did too good of a job, and I can't compete.) All the wiring and drilling make it a bit of a nightmare to make, as did my knocking over the glue on the side you cannot see. Still, will be tidied up. It's just going to take a little longer than I had hoped. I know they're not 'meta,' I just like the model! GSCUprising
The Night Rovfugl, lighting test. Just to be clear, this model is about half way dry-assembled, so wing is a bit wonky, there's no cradle for the battery, hence why it's hanging out of the back door. Anyhow, lights include:- - Port wing red, similar to modern shipping. - Starboard wing, green, for the same reason above. - Crew/cargo compartment red, to aid troops with night vision adjustment. - Cockpit green to simulate a radar/display screen of sorts. - Front a spotlight to highlight its target when in close quarters. As always, constructive criticism welcome. Please bear in mind, I've done no highlighting or finer details on this models as of yet. The wires require tidying up and other odds and sods when it comes to getting it looking smart. GSCUprising
"She's a warbird, and an old one at that, but don't let that fool you, min ven. She is a predator, a night eagle, the Night Rovfugl, and once she has you in her claws, you will never see the morning." Stenrik looked over to me. I could see in his face that quiet strength I had come to admire in him. But there was something else. Fear, perhaps? I did not ask, I merely kept listening. "She is like a wild bjergløve. By the time you see her, she has already been watching you for thirty minutes and now is her time. Yours is done." I glanced over the horizon to the setting sun, anxiety racing to fill my thoughts before I put it down. "Then we'd better be ready for our guest."
