The consistency across the whole force is impressive!

How many pts is that?

Cheers. Not sure how many points it is, it's most of the stuff I have painted up for them. Sounds like a fun exercise, though. I'll take a look after breakfast!

I work it out to be about 3840pts, plus the cost of the Valkyrie at...uh...170, I think, since GSC cannot take them.

Tiny Termies - unite! Painted up most of the colours I want on the second Inquisitor. Have to wait for the glue to dry for the base to become less red and more in keeping with the Captain on the right.

I thought I'd include a (headless) Grey Knights terminator for an illustration of the scale creep over the years. It also illustrates just how far GW have come in their detail.

Scroll text and transfer yet to be applied to the right shoulderpad. Also, a little tidying up of paintwork, particularly the face/mask.

Eventually, I will make myself a proper lightbox in which to take pics as top-down and camera flash is not ideal.

*edit*: I also realise the base edging is a different colour. I found not one but two lots of Rhinox Hide had dried out. Bloody Citadel pods are terrible. To be fixed.

Reasons

I've been enjoying getting back into painting and writing again. Still signed off from work by the doc so thought I'd take the opportunity to get a few things done.

Since I am still a little burned out painting GSC, thought I'd finally get a lick of paint on this bad boy.

Bear in mind not everything is glued on this yet, hence the slight angle the char is resting at.

I think this base can be considered done, now. Just need to work on the big boi it's showing off. Fortunately, it's a long weekend here, so I'll hopefully have him done this weekend.

I should think of a name for him/her. I'll take some influence from the Gaelic where a lot of the original Eldar names came from (Siam-Han, etc.). I am thinking Eric or Bob. Suggestions welcome.

Just curious where you got this from. Also, I'm well aware Gaelic is pronounced nothing like it is written. Same for Danish. How would one pronounce this?

Should have this big boy done by this evening. Been quite looking forward to it. The poor lad has been languishing for far too long on my shelf, untouched and unloved.

Google. ......I have no clue how to say it, I was just looking up Gaelic Fairy tales/ Folk lore and it popped up. I felt like it fit being it is a wraithlord.

Well, Google Translate is refusing to give me a spoken translation, so I'll go with it but no idea how to say it! It sounds fancier than gospodarz umarłych (Polish) - goss-pod-arz oo-mar-wick.

It's nice to have a break from my GSC, though I know I won't be able to resist them for long. Here's a bunch of wraith stuff, including the newly-painted Wraithseer. Feedback most welcome.

OK, those photos came out terribly. Will get some better pics this evening. That's what happens when you have a phone that uses a potato for a lens.

I was planning on painting up that Dark Reaper wraithlord but I noticed Denzel Washington's The Equalizer popped up on my Disney Plus feed. Love that movie. And he is one of my faves. I'll get some done, but not as much as I had planned!

In the meantime, I have reassembled the Swooping Hawk wraithlord and the Banshee one is sitting here looking at me, desperate to be painted.

It's nice. I got a whole bunch of GSC and Brood Brothers painted but got a bit burnt out. Back to my old favourites from 2nd ed.

Admittedly, it doesn't look great at the moment, but the colours will look a lot better, once I highlight and blend them in. It's supposed to be a blend of Dark Reaper and the sadistic whims of a Death Jester, hence the bloody lips, etc. Will be far blended in as time paining allows.

Though, I must admit, I do like the idea of a Wraithlord going fullinto my opponents. I had the Socprion one in last edition just go mental, sliced up two Deldar raiders and their passengers, then charaed in to the Incubi for more of the same. Admittedly, I had some lucky dice rolls, but it was an absolute beast.
