Hi I'm Dave, in Texas. I've began the hobby in earnest with 10th edition but started with lore videos during the lockdown times. After watching Astartes/TTS/hundreds of lore videos I then made the exodus from other gaming circles to 40k like many others at the time. Growing up I played Magic seriously so I was always around hobby shops with Warhammer and the fascination was always there. My playgroup is mostly the same dudes since high school, 25 years ago when we all started with D&D (I am the forever DM). I'm happy to be here! My group checked out several Discords but never found the right group of people. 

 

For lore stuff, I'm currently on book 5/Fulgrim of the Horus Heresy and I love it. I don't think I could read all of the books but I'm pretty fascinated with Word Bearers and am planning on reading all the books where they are prominent before moving unto Siege of Terra. 

 

For game and hobby stuff, I'm painting Tyranids right now for my group's escalation tournament. On deck, I have Crimson Fists because I love the Imperial Fists and couldn't decide on which successor chapter so my army is "Last Wall Protocol" but led by Pedro and mostly Crimson Fists. I've played in a few GT's but then quickly lost interest in competitive play - this game is just better with friends and beer, for me.
