When fantasy died, AoS initially lacked the sheer volume of lore that I loved about Fantasy, so I jumped ahead a couple millennia. It was easier to love once I realized that with 40k Chaos I could still have zombies on occasion. I've been into it for a couple years and have devoured the Eisenhorn, Fabius Bile, Night Lords, and Ahriman omnibuses, and read the first four of Horus Heresy so I can jump around that era (though I strongly prefer 40k to 30k).
