Vairocanum's WIP

It's been over 5 years since my last post on B&C but I wanted to come back and share some of the stuff I've been doing since then!

First up is a Kor'Sarro Khan on bike I converted for a friends army. The base model was the Chaplain on a bike with Khan bits grafted on. GW really should have made an actual model but this was fun to convert nonetheless.

Second is this Welder Techmarine for a joint wedding gift to a friend who is a pipeline welder. I did what I could to recreate the industrial welder and pancake hood, and decided to give the model a cigarette too! In the end the model was painted in John Deere colors but I wasn't able to get pics before it was gifted.

And finally this Librarian on bike was also a gift for a friend. My friend had done a similar conversion years ago but lost the model so I remade one for him when I got my hands on the same Librarian model.

As for my own stuff, I have started a metal Grey Knights army and will start posting some WIP shots once I've finished up some more work. Thanks for looking!

They're nice conversions, but the biker Khan in particular is a really great conversion - once there's some paint on it to hide up the "GreenStuff green", I doubt many would be able to tell it's not a stock GW model.

Thank you! I definitely think it was a missed opportunity from GW when they didn't make any "mounted" models for the White Scars but the new jet bike character is looking pretty cool! This was done for a friend so I don't have access to it anymore but I'm glad you think it blends in with stock models!

I've been seeing a ton of amazing Grey Knight conversions since they still haven't updated the model range and that got me wanting to dabble in the army as well. However for me I decided to go the route of old metal minis despite the higher costs as I've always really liked the models despite there only being a few sculpts. The price is quite restrictive tho so I'll have to chip away at this slowly when I can find good deals and acquire more minis. But I do have a decent amount of models to start so I'll be knocking stuff out whenever I can. To start here's a converted Justicar:
