VanDutch Posted yesterday at 04:02 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:02 PM Really looking forward to the Legions update, especially after all the ‘it’s getting cancelled’ drama. Hopefully we’ll see the rumoured Custodes army. Warhammer Quest is pretty hype. There's a load of AoS rumours. Fyreslayers being merged Dispossessed (AKA Fantasy Dwarfs in AoS), Nurgle and Cities stuff outside of Quest, and new Ogres. 40k I guess will be the obligatory campaign books and individual models they do in the runup to the next edition (Nightbringer, rumoured Huron, etc). They also put the Warhammer+ Loremaster video on Titans onto their youtube channel the other day, which some have speculation is a precursor to a plastic Warhound announcement that Valrak was talking about. Heresy we stll have the teases for plastic Custodes (and presumably Sisters), Mechanicum and Marine Breachers + Cataprachtii outstanding. Legions Imperialis somebody found unused product codes for a bunch of stuff, which I can't remember off the top of my head (basically every faction but Solar Auxilia). No idea about Necromunda. The Old World there was a Chaos Mammoth rumour which came along with the original Marauder one, but it's unclear if they'll just put the resin one back into production or it'll be a new plastic kit. And maybe the full Breacher kit, though I'd kinda hoped that would have shown up by now. For 40k, end of edition narrative I assume? Valrak has been talking about Prince Yriel and Huron Blackheart getting new models along with some hangers on for both flavours of Corsair. Otherwise I think we've got every Codex out and every existing preview now up for pre-order unless I'm mistaken? Ferren Areios still needs a release date, as does the SM Heads upgrades kit. The other major one is the Shard of the Nightbringer, although it remains to be seen if that will be tied to Kill Team (seeing as there's rules for him as an NPC in Shadowhunt), or if he'll be delivered via the inevitable end-of-edition campaign arc. Matcap86 Posted yesterday at 04:18 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:18 PM Super happy to see Legions Imperialis up there. Also expecting a rather sizeable Horus Heresy preview as the releases post Saturnine have been rather slim. Rapiers (in two varieties), Mk II Assault Marines, extra weapon sprue for the Saturnine dreadnought, boxed starter sets for Marines/Aux/Mech, two splatbooks...not to mention all the standalone boxes from the Saturnine box. That's not bad for three months, especially when we know we're also getting breachers, cataphractii, a new mech unit, and at least one new Custodes unit. Hfran Morkai
Bring on the MkIV and Tartaros so I can theoretically break out of my hobby limbo. I know we've only had hints (characters, art, Tartaros originally not having fist options), but I'm so eager for my favourite marks to be rescaled. I recall Valrak saying something about Catas being part of a set but his latest rumour is both them and Tarts coming out around the same time. Makes me think Breachers are the most probable, along with a vehicle (maybe a Knight or less-demanding Baneblade alt-build) if we are lucky. 40k is def going to be the campaign chars I imagine. Rapiers were before Saturnine, so it's mostly the fellblade and MK2 assault marines, a weapon sprue and some reboxes of existing kits. Which is not too much for the launch of a new edition imho. The 4 months after age of darkness launched, we had Rhinos, Kratos, 1 special and 4 heavy weapons sets, weapon set for the contemptor, 2 leviathan dread variants, 2 predator variants, plastic sicaran, plastic land raider proteus. Stuff that's been previewed or conjectured, but not released yet... Hasn't been released yet. Mind you I'm very happy with the assault marines and the fellblade as kits, but the hype train kinda floundered for me after Saturnines's launch. Iirc the the preview show after Saturnine released when they did the teaser images at the end, one was a Cataphractii wrist/arm, so Id be on them, unless it was a character. One was also a custode though so who knows Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387009-world-championships-of-warhammer-preview/#findComment-6138818 Share on other sites

Joe
Probably about time for a rules consolidation / new edition for Necromunda, really. We've only had intermediary soft updates and expansions to the game as is since it re-released in 2017. Marshal Loss
Not expecting much for Heresy. Breachers are a given as they haven't been properly shown off yet, and probably the next journal tactica which will presumably be the one focused on super heavies. I'd like to see more of this 'acceleration into plastic' they talked about with the launch of 3rd edition, anything more than that will be nice, but I am not expecting a wall of new kits for 30k at this preview Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387009-world-championships-of-warhammer-preview/#findComment-6138835 Share on other sites
Astartes Consul
Given that the new Zone Mortalis rules are due in November (via PDF) I suspect GW would want Breachers up for pre-order by then. So, the kit may well just be revealed fully via WarComm instead. Custodes preview and the the couple Journal Tactica seems a solid bet. interesting to see where they take Legions. Silvereyes
I only got into 40K around 3 years ago now, at the end of 9th. So never read any of these end of edition campaign books. So I am actually quite interested in them to see what they're like for 10th edition. Really, I'd love some battleplans that can be used as an alternative to the mission pack. Some interesting battles, with an actual attacker and defender, that would pique my interesting. Granted, I know the last book series, Ark of Omen, was all about that Boarding Action game mode. I probably wouldn't be too interested if it's something like that again. Still, I am curious. As for Necromunda, I was going to say, is it the game system still supported by GW that has gone the longest without a new edition now? I am aware they have done rule book updates, but I am meaning as an official, new edition? Considering how many game systems have had new editions in the last couple years, makes me wonder if it might be on the horizon. Not that I think the game needs one exactly, but I do wonder if it may happen soon.
