Haven't we seen some of the 28mm Dark Mechanicum already on the box art for the LI ones?

The little infantry/snake guys that come with some of the spider walkers.

Edited by Tastyfish

I'll expect the end campaign books for 40k, that'll be a given. Though it's worth pointing out that the rumours that have been whispered to Valrak show them going in a slightly different direction than Arks of Omen did, with no overarching narrative but being character focused.

Necromunda is a pretty open one. We could get another “setting” box like secundus/ash wastes/ dark uprising. We could get another updates list for the various cults, which are now the outliers in terms of options. We could get an updated edition of some of the older content like Law/Peril/Ruin. We have had pretty consistent lore mentions of some other gangs like scavvies/ratskins/brats. They could pick up after the last campaign book and continue that narrative…or they couls just do something else entirely.

Some of the 28mm big walkers were used for the books' art too.

For W40K,I think they will show new CSM, probably a character at least. In Horus Heresy, a detailed new Breacher squad,Cataphractii remade and probably a character or two (Master of Descent?)but I don't think any vehicle. Also we can expect,in the other hand, new Emperor's Talons with supplement

For Necromunda, not sure. A new supplement? A new gang?Miniatures alone?Ratskins and Pit Gladiators will be awesome but I don't think we will see something about.

Its time for the Sicaran Arcus, Punisher and Omega.

I'm quite surprised these haven't arrived yet given they'd only need to sort the turret.

Maybe they took it on board with the complaints too much armour was coming out.

Expecting this one to be the beginning of the end for 10th ed 40K*. It will be interesting to see what they pull out, but if it's another campaign series I'm probably not gonna buy. The Arks of Omen books were way overpriced in traditional GW style, and there wasn't enough interest in my group to warrant getting them. @ZeroWolf mentioned a possible character-driven direction for the books? T'will be interesting to see how that goes. Also, it would be nice to see a new Huron model.

As for the other systems/games: I don't play 'em, so here's hoping with the people who care

*Sigh...

My Necromunda credits are on a revamped Book of Ruin to flesh out Corpse Grinders.

Maybe some early teaser stuff about the Eye of Selene as a Narrative book or Campaign setting.

Hopefully Andy Hoare has done enough horse trading to keep Munda off the GW 3 year cycle.

Would be a bit redundant in terms of hopes, given it's been eight years since the system released and the three year cycle doesn't exist outside of 40k/AoS presently.

The bigger issue for Necromunda right now is book bloat and availability. They've needed to consolidate them together to make things a bit more manageable, and that hasn't happened yet. The longer it goes on the less sustainable that'll be, particularly as they seem to be slowly killing off Warhammer Digital at the moment. Regardless, they really need to start addressing the labyrinthine mess that is rulebooks for the system.

Horus Heresy, previously a Specialist games system is now on the 3 year cycle.

Probably because it was bumped up to 'core game' status, so to speak. Whereas Necromunda is still soundly in the Specialist Games category and seems unlikely to move - not unless they decide to introduce a Space Marine Gang anyway.

No it isn't.

We've gone over this a few times now. At the moment, the game has had a new edition three years after the previous one - this hasn't happened more than once however. For there to actually be a cycle in play it'd have to happen two or more times. Which we'll know if we hit 2028 and see a 4th Edition release.

People need to learn to distinguish between core game / core brand. As at present, the core brands are Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Horus Heresy and The Old World. And Heresy being promoted to a core brand when it was was almost certainly more tied into the sheer number of novels and licensed products it was receiving rather than the popularity of 1st Edition.

but his latest rumour is both them and Tarts coming out around the same time.

I've never said that, I said Cata and Tart new scale but not at the same time.

I'll never not be amused by the game of telephone that goes on in the community between Valrak, people who watch his video and the rest of the community

I don't play HH but I really hope to see the Mech stuff previously teased to see what I can yoink and kitbash for 40k

Thanks for the spreadsheets, they are very helpful. The only thing close to Necromunda's age is Adeptus Titanicus, but I assume that game doesn't really receive much attention? GW still sell it on their website, but the Warhammer Community site's articles about it are from 2023 and before. Compared to Necromunda which still clearly receives support. I'd certainly be surprised if Necromunda goes on for much longer without a big new edition.

I'd assume the reason Necromunda avoids the churn aside from being very much specialist games baby, is that it has no competitive value. The games that are in the cycle all have a very prominent tournament scene which allows for rapid updates to "maintain balance". A game like 'munda being narrative focused has no need hence the various book of's to fix issues as it's more marketable to players than risking constant resets.

“WQ plus…”

Makes me think we’ll get silhouettes and maybe one or two models shown for each system. Can’t see a stacked reveal. Maybe introduce 10th’s end narrative, and if they follow a similar pattern to Arks of Omen, show the first book/narrative supplement and whatever model goes with it, then tease the rest.

Last year at this event they showed the entire Eldar, Krieg, and Gloomspite waves and then some extras. It was quite stacked. It's also the last reveal show until next year so they probably will show what's coming up to January at least.

Historically, next to nothing of any real import is released between end of Nov and Jan. Id expect to see the Xmas boxes on Sunday for a release by 29th Nov and then it'll be filler until Jan as a guess.
