The nee Ultramarine models are pretty spectacular.

Titus is just fantastic, and he comes with his friends from SM2.

Also, very surprised to see Ultramarine auxilia forces, but they are very unique and interesting. I feel that a whole army of models like that would be pretty fantastic but for now, at least, it just appears to be that one unit.

There's some interesting new design language going on with the T'au characters.

Yeah they feel a lot more feral than the Tau battlesuits normally do and it is really working.

I'm wondering if they're each wearing half of their fallen bondmate's armour, and the odd designs are the claw marks from the Patriarch?

So did Acheran die on the way back to his home planet?

Maybe somebody reminded him that he never explained how he DIDN'T die on Nemendghast and he realized that he's been a ghost ever since.

I never thought some Tau battlesuits can looks as good as these new ones they just revealed.

The Necromunda Squats continue to be brilliant - imo a far superior range to the Votann.

The new Necromunda Overlord is very cool as well, and so different from the usual stuff. Love the rotting body underneath the golden suit.

Titus glow up is just wild. Now it's making sense why they never did a full release for the Lt version. Pics from warhammer community:

The Titus model is nice, but the rest is a bit meh. I kind of feel that Ultramarines didn't need another command squad - there is already company of heroes etc. A new unique unit, like an updated take on nid hunters (all with those fur cloaks titus is wearing because that looks ace) would have been better I feel.

The other 40k models look great imo. Love the necrons update.

Tau are excellent.

Votaan is kinda lame looking.

Tyranid prime is the best model shown for 40k. I'll get one for my son for sure.

Titus & friends are cool, wheres Chairon. Secret level chap is cool, i do wonder if the human inclusion could be a nod toward something "more" for the future. Also second the guess that Huron will have a similar rag-tag group.

titus' cloak very much puts me in mind of maximus in gladiator

Necron is really cool too.

I already liked the Nightbringer quite a bit.

overall, 40k show was "fine", technical issues made the entire thing a bit painful though lol.

So for the stuff that goes in this forum, I feel the Necromunda Random Paletine Guys and the Squats were pretty interesting, but not the Gold Guy.

The new Xenos characters are interesting (especially the T'au Characters), surprised Trazyn and the Striking Scorpion guy weren't there tho.

Titus and his Mates are Meh. The human command staff is neat tho.

The new Destroyer Character looks interesting but it's clear the big "hype" moment of that bit of the show was meant to be the Nightbringer who already got brought to us way ahead of schedule.

Also zilch for Chaos and not really a decent explanation on what the 500 Worlds thing is (presumably it's Arks of Omen 2.0 tho).

For HH, no Custodes is annoying, the Skittari are interesting and the Breachers and HH Termies look pretty much as expected.

For Legions Imperialis tho, we have yet more Space Marines with the only non-marine showing being the big reprint box for Solar Aux. No new faction teased and really nothing for the other existing ones.

All in all, the Technical Problems really only delayed the inevitable disappointment and the best thing in the entire preview was Peasants for Cathay.

It is an absolute shame that the Nightbringer was spoiled ahead of this reveal.

The minis shown today are great and varied. I don't know why some people would be disappointed unless they expected something very particular.

The Nightbringer would have been an epic climax to the showcase if we hadn't seen him ahead of time.

I was hoping to see something today that I could actually use and for what's been touted as yet another "Year of Chaos" we've had even less than last time.

I must admit, while I am grateful for another T'au model, I am really not feeling the Twin Lance. Might be that I really don't like the paint scheme. Interested what their datasheet looks like, especially since they are named characters.

500 Worlds is an interesting start. I have to ask though, do many people play Boarding Actions? I know it was the big thing of Arks of Omen, and that they released a standalone book for the 10th for it. But, unless I'm mistaken, it's not like it has received much support otherwise? I guess the slipcase design means you can ignore that if you want, but I can't help but wonder if it is rather niche to make a supplemant for Boarding Actions. Even more so if after 500 Worlds that game mode just gets no support again.

Campaign system I'm somewhat interested in. Really, I want alternative battle plans to using the mission deck, stuff that has an attacker and defender, interesting scenarios etc. But I guess it's more likely this is just a framework for a bunch of players to play battles with the mission deck.

Curious how the other 500 Worlds books will look like. Unless I missed it, I don't see anywhere them stating how many books there are in the 500 Worlds series. Guessing 5, that seems to be the current standard? The slipcase design does mean potentially different content in each release. Sure, you'll probably get the big lore book, and the detachment booklet. But will all of them contain a Boarding Action supplement, and a 40K campaign system? Possibly not, could have some more different things. We'll see.

Honestly my big takeaway is that I still really want to jump into Grand Cathay, that is a gorgeous army.
