I'll be excited to see more CSM stuff, especially Red Corsairs. If there's a hint of DA, I could see it being Ezekiel. I figure the Ravenwing refresh will happen later.

My local game stores have to be selling LI stuff, because they have it in their restocks whenever they post about it on social media, but I legit have never seen a single game being played. HH sometimes, 40k all the time, LI not even once.

Maybe it is like others have suggested - if people want to play HH they are playing HH. If they want to play Epic, they are not playing LI.

I think it is very much a 'garage/home' game currently in large part because very few stores will have the appropriate terrain. 28mm terrain can... kind of... sorta work depending on the piece but even with 'it's Warhammer so everything is stupidly big' you have to suspend your disbelief a fair bit and it's far from ideal. Clubs tend to be better for it, since more people are likely to chip in with it (be that via 3D printing or pooling resources).

The ruleset really, really wanting you to have a terrain dense board instead of a couple of key pieces doesn't help.

Titanicus was similar; I very rarely saw people playing it out in the wild at stores but it still moved fairly well (for a non-40k Specialist Game anyway).

That is possible, although the club I play at has a large stock of Epic/AT terrain, and LI is seen very rarely compared to both AT and even old Epic.

My own thoughts are that it is mostly due to it being not a light game to play and having a long playtime. I think the developers (whoever they are, because they are no-one known by the epic community) designed a game that is for a Sunday afternoon, around a table in your friend's basement with a stop for pizza halfway. You've got loads of room to have the rulebook and cheat sheets spread about you and can easily play 3+ hours.

When you have to race to a club after work, know you have only 2 hours to play and after a hard day don't want something that requires mental horsepower, there are other games that are much better options (at least that is my experience of playing it!)

Valrak has been saying lately (at least in today's stream) that Battlefleet Heresy is coming, which those rumors were relaunched this week in the weekly teaser.

To be fair, there's been persistent rumours about this for a good 6 years at this point, I think it was shortly after Titanicus or Aeronautica was released that it started getting traction

Titanicus iirc was were modern battlefleet heresy got mentioned again

In addition during the early black book era of hh there was also talk of battlefleet heresy as a modification to the existing heresy ruleset as imperial armours had battlefleet gothic integration into campaigns and scenarios

I think I remember at an event someone (possibly Tony Cotterell) talking about wanting to do an HH version of BFG but with much bigger scale ships. He talked about doing the Gloriana class ships and the Legion Flagships like the Conqueror.

This was years ago though.

Seeing as the development time is at least a couple of years, that might pan out

Last time I heard it mentioned by FW was at the last Open Day in 2019. They were still talking about it in the long term, i.e. "when the studio is larger, when we've hit these project milestones elsewhere, etc."

Probably about the right point to release it, given all the hinting around a shared campaign system between HH, LI/AT, etc.

Another thought I had, the recent video on GW's YouTube channel was talking about Titans, at about 18 minutes in they start talking about variants that are no longer in the 40K universe but were around in the Great Crusade. One in particular was named in the video as the Punisher class titan with three legs and named weapons.

Could this be an indication that a model may be coming for LI/ AT?

Cheers

Three legged? That's a big diversion from existing patterns. maybe it will be produced when the Dark Mechanicus are developed more?

There's several more titan classes mentioned in the black books iirc. Mostly between reaver and warlord and reaver and warhound sizewise.

I'm not surprised. We already had the Warmonger and that upgunned Warhound in recent years, plus the Warmaster.

Theres a 3 legged version in the war of the beast I forget the name of.

I think for me it is a combination of the timing of the video and the specificity of the description including the weapons it's commonly armed with that made me wonder we'll see it in model form.

Surprised we've not had a "substantial" leak for this reveal tbh.

Maybe that's an indication that it's not that exciting on the 40k side of things?

Exciting or otherwise, we're kinda out of stuff. Can't be worse than the "oh this divisive BA release? That's it for 6 months" we had last autumn.

The Warhammer Quest box leaked, revealing the other heroes, so there's been things out there.

Well, less than 3 hours to go. So time for some wild guesses:

Space Skaven!
Kroot become their own faction!

Horus Heresy 2: This Time It's Personal

Alpharius and Omegaron's secret third brother!

Ultramarines get nothing!

Harlequins become a faction again!

GW lower their prices!
