Misc warhammer tattoos

Anyone else a fan of warhammer tattoos? 

 

Here's a few more I did this year. A Bran Redmaw piece. A big ol' Tyranid. And an Ork chainsword which was super fun. 

 

I've got so much flash built up now for a whole bunch of factions and ideas but never get enough time for warhammer as I mostly do historical work. 

 

What do you have tattooed? Or would want?

I don't have tattoos, but my friend Timperial Guard does.  I'll show him these and ask.

 

But I'll tell you what I think, it'd be 100% IN LINE with your 1st pic there, like it's not just Space Wolves, but Bearn Redmaw's Great Company or whatever, like my specific subfaction.  Intradiegetic/in-universe insignias, heraldry, iconography.  I think you nailed it, that sort of thing is exactly what I'd get if I were to get inked.

 

Great execution throughout, but as soon as I saw that Wolf icon, I was all, "There it is, that's a winner."  I honestly think if you were going to grow an idea, it'd be like 40k Chapter Icons AND 30k era Legion Icons, or the Imperial Aquilla, symbols for the Sororitas Orders, etc.  Brilliant.  That's so cool.

 

The only hurdle that might hold someone like Timperial Guard back is, if he changes factions every edition (me, too).  He still mostly play Imperium, though.  I dunno, I'll ask and let you know.  He actually gets like a new tattoo or piercing every year or so, so he's pretty representative I reckon of what you're thinking about.

 

Hey, in short, great work, I saw that Space Wolf Great Company, BOOM, I immediately twigged it even though I never thought about it.  I go to a tattoo parlour, I see that design on a wall, I would pull out my phone with my miniatures and I'd be like "I want that EXCEPT like this, with this and that," y'know?  Like I get it now.

Thank you! That is exactly my idea. I started with 30k stuff but have been doing a lot more 40k now. I have loads of designs drawn up ready to go. I usually just need someone to tell me their faction and I can do sonething with it. My dream is to do horus heresy sleeves.
