Honestly, Titus is the weakest of the bunch; too static a pose for my tastes.

Love the rest though; the fact that they made a reference to the video game characters and the human helpers too. A very unusal set, but positively so.

I'd say Metanus is the weakest. He just looks like someone's Bladeguard with a few 3D printed parts added on. Which, granted, is what he looks like in Secret Level, but he also has a power axe which makes him stand out. Here he's just got a standard Bladeguard power sword which is disappointing. - his use of the power axe is so well done in the animation so you'd have thought that GW would have tied that in to the model And poor Chairon, getting the boot despite fighting with Titus through the entirety of SM2 only to be replaced by a guy from a 20 minute animation.

I definitely expect to see some power axe conversions.

I think Metanus may be a (too late) attempt to cash in on the Secret Level crowd who have been introduced to the hobby. Not having the axe makes it a bit of a strange attempt though.

I would definitely expect to see similar things when Amazon releases their show and Space Marine 3 comes out - tie-in boxes that capitalise on the exposure. GW had lightning in a bottle with Space marine 2 and I don't see them missing that opportunity again.

Titus complaining Rowboat gave him an impossible task like the Primarch is being dumb and doesn't know exactly what he's doing. You set your best guy on an impossible goal and accomplish way more than anyone would expect.

Iirc Guillidude himself also says he makes impossible demands, Though it might just be him aiming high and settling for as good as it gets.

Great Minis, but making it around titus is a choice....where are the Tetrachs, like if you must do Ultramarines at least go fresh meat. The Tetrachs should be dealing with the 500 worlds, why is Titus in charge over then name brand recongnition?

Are the Tetrachs still a thing in 40K?

G man brought them back when he woke up. They are very much a thing, we evem follow one around in the first Belisarius Cawl book (The Great Work).

4 Marines who sole duty it is to guard, secure and control the 500 worlds...

This box is the beast reveal for me, hoping to see something even cooler in the future.

The models are cool but with some adjustments(like an axe for metaurus, and an helmet in hand for titus).

Ynnari? It's about time I say. They got neglected for too long.

I agree to a point, but I also think this kind of campaign is a great snapshot to take of the game system before it mutates into whatever comes next. For as much as the game lives its real life out in the tournament space It's also super worthwhile to ship something like this out where it can be the home edition that lives forever. It'd be great to get a fourth year of campaigns at the end of each edition.

That's a great point, and I fully agree with you in the fourth year of campaigns idea   For the rest, I think it depends what your local gaming scene is like; if you have somewhere that players are happy to ignore the latest thing rules wise, then you could get some longevity from this supplement. However, for a lot of people - the majority, I'd suspect - most players in their local scene will want to play the current rules; so when 11th drops, they likely won't want to touch these (unless there's an FAQ that makes them usable in 11th).

Thinking about what's in these supplements, I think what could have some longer term use is the map based campaign - whatever changes with 11th, I'd wager it'd be straightforward enough to adapt. And for people who dislike the Ultramarine-centric setting, doing a scan and a bit of photoshop-type editing to change the planet names - and you've got a campaign that'll work for anywhere else in the galaxy

Was that on the stream? It isn't mentioned in the article.

Yes they mentioned on the stream. I might have missed when they said this is releasing- I presume January sometime. My mate will love all those Necron critters [me fighting them.. not so much..]. I'm a xenos player but I have to say I love the non marine models with Titus, very cool addition, I wonder if Ultramar Auxiliaries could become a thing, they would fit really well in this campaign, maybe a killteam box?

Going to be interesting to see how the Narrative builds out from here especially after reading Boole's latest...

So based on the Nightbringer comment in the revalshow; I guess Calgar and the rest of the Ultramarines was also supposed to be revealed as the 500 worlds story progresses?

I doubt that because GW wouldn't have changed the release schedule even if units were revealed early.

I just had a Lt Titus conversion primed and everything :) More detachments for Necrons in the book will be appreciated, marines get a few more too apparently. Wonder if at least two of them will be updated existing detachments, but themed around the new characters, similar to Fists and Iron Hands etc, e.g. Necron guy gets updated annihilation legion.
