20 bases for the future Mechanicum cyber zombies have been finished:

The models themselves (Stargrave Automatons) are still in their sprues as I am having little ambition today to assemble them. This small force will be reinforced by a few Mechanicum characters from Wargames Exclusives (also still unbuilt) and the whole lot will act as antagonists to my small 30K Shattered Legions warband. A few months ago I bit the bullet and bought the Boarding Actions box from Gee-Dubbs because this was to my knowledge the only product which provided proper interior sci-fi terrain.

Really nice work. Great color scheme there.

Thanks for the praise. The colour combination of brown and a rich red really suits them well. The models themselves really look like the Assembly from AoW: Planetfall and in that game they had a cold look with pale skin and blueish arc weapons. So I went into the opposite direction and gave my cyber zombies a more warm colour palette.

I finished the last cyber zombies on Thursday last week. Here they are as well with a group shot and one pic in which the SM are also present. The zombies are smaller than the SM which was only possible to achieve by not buying from Gee-Dubbs as these guys are high on scale-creep. Anyway, here are the pics:

The bases for the Tacticals will arrive in January next year. So between Christmas and Next Year´s Eve I have scheduled a game in which only the three completed HH SM characters (see Crusaders of the Milky Way thread) take on the cyber zombies. I haven´t still decided of what kind of ruleset I will use. It will probably be Doom (2016) rules as if I remember correctly also incorporate an execution mechanic which will play just like the SM2 game.

In regards to further painting stuff I will highly likely turn my attention next to Legions Imperialis as I also want to do a new battle report with new minis which still reside in their sprues on my pile of shame. This week will see the shipment of a large Legions Imperialis order which includes a lot of urban terrain and the Adeptus Titanicus core game. I couldn´t resist buying the latter game as it was on discount (100 bucks) and comes with two Reavers and two Warhounds. Those are perfect additions to Legions Imperialis.
