hardknoxkustomz88
So i've sat here for the better part of 2 Hours thinking of ways to start this Topic, Essentially i Took a Trip down Memory lane with the Wayback Machine on the old GW website back in the early 2000's with the Daemon Hunters Release and remembered how much i loved that Faction in the 40k Lore, Vivid memories of being Sick on my Birthday during the initial Release, Building the Original Coteaz Retinue, Reading the Daemon hunters Codex and Listening to Linkin Park, Well with my 37th right around the corner, i'd decided to buy some Models to Convert into a Demon Hunters/ Inquisition models. With my friend and I using the Stargrave ruleset we're not bound by Codex limitations on creativity and WYSIWYG, I'm also using the 3rd/4th Edition Daemonhunters Codex as inspiration for "Codex Entries" . Another thing i'd personally noticed is that i'd bought a 3d printer to Accent my Model building and unfortunately i'd let it almost outright replace it, So after throwing out 100's of unfinished 3d printed "projects" i have gone back to the beginning, using Mostly plastics, the only things that will be entirely 3d printed will be Terrain and a Lucius Pattern Warhound because i've wanted one since i was a kid and with the latest addition of a Filament printer to my Arsenal for Business i've decided to use my Downtime to build a new 4x4 board as well (More on that Later), So begins the Mess that is my Latest Hobby Adventure, Creating Stuff that's Cool and Most likely not even Remotely Game Legal, Some ideas i've had as follows with models bought to attempt: Saturnine Terminators and Praetor to Turn into Grey Knight Terminators Lord Terminus to make a Coteaz inspired Inquisitor since they Massacred my boy with his latest Disappointing model Attempting to buy: Primaris Outriders - Yes i know they're not GK usable but there's nothing more badass in my eyes than a GK riding a Bike through a Demon infested planet ( That's Ghost rider as ) Tor Garadon - I really want to make a Grey Knight Grand Master Kasrkin Kill team - No Daemonhunters is complete without Some Inquisitorial Storm Troopers More Updates and Ideas to Come. Tallarn Commander
That sure was a fun codex. It had tons of beautiful models. Didn't that codex exist as a legal codex for a bazillion years? hardknoxkustomz88
Yes it did! i feel that the Current Grey Knights Codex and Faction is sorely lacking in many Departments that made the Daemonhunters what they once were. my Hope is to Capture that Essence again and go Further beyond it by creating some not entirely "legal" models/units Firedrake Cordova 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387139-ordo-everything-inquisition-grey-knights-terrain/#findComment-6143161 Share on other sites

Endtransmission
Oh I remember that codex, and yes it was a good one. That's one of the few I actually kept hold of! hardknoxkustomz88
i'm really trying to track down a decent condition one! like i said the majority of my conversions will not be Codex Legal in the Slightest regard, The Greyknight Primaris outrider being one of them but the idea of a Greyknight riding through a demon infested planet is too good to pass up Firedrake Cordova 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387139-ordo-everything-inquisition-grey-knights-terrain/#findComment-6143245 Share on other sites

hardknoxkustomz88
Working on Adding little 3d Printed Details to My Castellan Knight Rider: Building Newer Upscaled Grey Knight halberds, They're printed at 125% normal size with the handles removed and a Hole in its place to insert 45mm worth of Steel Tube, Never been a fan of relying on Resin for thin shapes in Snap able locations: Building up the Massively obnoxious Base! And the thought i had for my basing scheme was a Demon planet that needs to be Reclaimed by the Inquisition and the Ground is just a slurry of Chaotic rock, Mud and Skulls....so Many skulls, in the time i decided to do this and today i've printed well over 300 Skulls. One down: Our Boy here Needs a Name and a Base Nameplate! Open to Suggestions. Yeah its not legal, yeah Grey knights aren't primaris, or have outriders, But Damn that looks good! Firedrake Cordova
He looks good, and the 3D printed parts work well. Out of curiosity, is there a reason you went with steel rod instead of brass? Was it availability, or something else? Rusted Boltgun
That's Frater Exardescerian right there (please excuse the butchered Latin). He's really great and I love the idea of the halberd for the mounted cavalry. And the skulls. hardknoxkustomz88
Another Update! I started working on my Boards for Stargrave, 3d printed everything outside of the Pink Foam Bases everything is Glued to. Each one is a 2x2 project board bought from Home Depot: And with Thanksgiving just happening My 8 Year old son Decided he wants to start model building and is Obsessed with Titus so of course his first model had to be Titus himself: I also Started Building an inquisition themed Contemptor Dreadnought: Planning to have this guy Armed with a Halberd similar to the knights with the Heavy Bolter arm on his left arm W.A.Rorie, Dr_Ruminahui, Heraclite and 1 other 2 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387139-ordo-everything-inquisition-grey-knights-terrain/#findComment-6144569 Share on other sites

hardknoxkustomz88
Another update! Contemptor is a little closer to finishing building: i'm also 2 sealing passes of paint and matt modge podge into the boards themselves, and i've currently started tinkering with the Retinue itself. Firedrake Cordova
Looks good - the braziers are a characterful addition I'm not sure how effective the "long-handled smiting device" would be in practice due to the lack of a wrist-like joint, but it does look cool, so who cares W.A.Rorie 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387139-ordo-everything-inquisition-grey-knights-terrain/#findComment-6145170 Share on other sites
