JuliusAgricola
As above, I wanted something to do in the evenings and on weekends that wasn't screen-based, and I considered getting back into Warhammer. I fell out of Warhammer when I started studying after 16 (mainly as I couldn't afford it). I used to paint a lot, and to a good standard, so it feels good to be back into it. I started again in August this year, intending just to play Kill Team, but it turned into a full-blown Dark Angels successor army that I am building and planning right now. The Iron Halo Strike Force and Crux Terminatus boxes are on the way. Combined with the DA core, I already have most of the army. Really, it has ballooned, I've started playing again, locally in Sydney (Aus), but I am primarily into modelling and painting. I intend to start a painting blog soon over on the Dark Angels forum, and I hope you look forward to seeing a purple, black, and yellow DA force form before your eyes! For my first models back, I painted some Genestealer Brood Brothers from a Kill Team I started (kitbashed with the Ash Wastes Nomads from Necromunda) for the Armies on Parade at my local store a little while ago, and was pleased to pick up a bronze medal. I've attached some (slightly blurry) pics of those for visual appeal (you may see a tease of my infiltrators and inceptors being assembled in the background!). Glad to be back! Dr_Ruminahui
Welcome! Love your conversions and their paint jobs are very evocative - its neat to see less industrial GSC, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387171-returning-to-the-hobby-after-17-years/#findComment-6146628 Share on other sites

I’m not normally a fan of GSC at all, but these are excellent. Very John Blanche.
