I don't think it'll be guiliman, well not a new 40k version anyway. I'm still thinking Yarrick but the thought suddenly occurs that they could lean on the red colour of xmas by revealing Huron and some Red Cosair stuff.

Do we think the 'Gargant' silhouette in the picture is a composite of things to be previewed? Kind of a large rumour engine? Or just a picture?

There's a few bits on that look oddly more detailed than others and not as obviously orky (like the poles on the left), whilst also a few odd choices for the outline towards the bottom left as well.

I think it is a composite with a possibility of terrain.

Personally i think it has no relation to the christmas reveal, only a relation to the grotmas calendar.

Its just a stompa with houses, it could possibly be an image with "doors" and "boxes" that open each day, like you often see with physical advent calendars.

It will be a Gargant, but it will be a wreck, and be Guilliman's tactical rock for his new model.

Forget Ultramarines, they mentioned Vostroya as an inspiration for the Red Gobbo design so I'm huffing hazardous amounts of hopium that they show new Vostroyan infantry!

Don't give a man hope.

I remember reading the WD release edition for the Vostroyans, they looked so good.

On the first day of Grotmas, James Workshop gave to me... a short story of John Space Marine II arriving in Ultramar.

There's also a calendar hub if you want to reference back to the days.

Gotta admit im real disappointed about this. Last year were such a success they said they would add detachments to the updates for the rest of the edition. They did that for 2 updates and then said they were delayed. What we got were some detachments for marines that where not needed(basically just updates/upgrades to sell the new characters).

This is not a good start.

They overdid them selves last year and we put too much expectations for them to possibly deliver on this year. Meh...

25, 20 and 6 all 3 feature two gift socks.. 6th and 20th are both saturdays, this is probably meaningless ( especially with the absence of 13 there ) though we find out soon enough.. if the 6h will have 2 grotmas gifts for both settings.. then I think it could indicate thats what happens on those days ( wich is good new for the christmas reveals.) if the 6th ends up having any miniature reveals ( they sometimes randomly do on saturdays ) then probably the 20th as well ( we know the 25th has )

Will probably follow up with more useless and in the end pointless image pattern analysis ( maybe the wreath indicates and ultramarine related grotmas gift.. there is a lot of built up and the 6th also has a wreath, like the 1st has.. and furthermore 16 and 23.. both tuesdays.)

It's easy to not be disappointed when you don't expect anything in the first place . It's Grot-mess!

The moment they announced what they would do I put my expectations on 0, but I always make the best speculation fun of 0 as I can anyway.

Im still ready to be really dissapointed by these two days :

-- day 14 not being a painting tutorial
-- day 18 not featuring conversions in any way

I mean that would be just misleading art direction

edit : nvm, Im blind, day 14 isnt a painting desk XD

If my memory serves me right they said they were gonna release new detachments for all the factions that had a codex release.

The moment they said that I knew they wouldn't be able to do it, because that would mean acknowledging that Imperial Agents exist and giving them a new detachment, lol.

Today's Grotmas article is a bunch of rules stuff for AoS to bring the Chorfs up to speed with what the other Factions got earlier.

As for tomorrow...

Next up on the Grotmas Calendar, get your paints and brushes ready, because we’ve got a whole legion of painting tips on the way.
