I think you could take single model units of chaos space marines in 1st ed WFB, so theres legal precedent

I doubt you could take a named 40k Character tho.

This would be like having the celebration model be Bastian Carthalos (SCE character) and the scenario is the Ultramarines assisting him in finding a relic.

They simply wanted to sell the Red Gobbo mini to AoS players or allow those that play both games to do so, it ain’t rocket science, what’s next tell the Blood Angel players they can’t use Stormcast bits for their kitbashes.

Have a good night with those you love and at least for a night don’t let the GW marketing team get your blood up.

Remember the Spirit of Grotmas, there’s more minis to buy tomorrow.

Happy Holidays everyone.

I like the respect on his name of named character status :)

Belakor is a named character in both settings. Am I saying The Red Gobbo transcends time and space like Belakor? Yes.

I'm gonna drop the "in today's article joke" here, because what the heck is this?

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/qskksauw/grotmas-calendar-day-24-da-red-gobbos-big-heist/

The Grotmas mini this year is a Tinboy, right?

Looks like a Vostryan Guardsman, has a Lasgun and a sack with 40k looking Grenades in it.

So why is it apparently an AoS Mini?

Who decided this?

The scenario we got today is an AoS scenarios for letting Da Red Gobbo steal it.

Again, why is this AoS????

Tomorrow Teaser:

No no no, you have this all wrong! Clearly we're seeing GW hinting at the long-awaited consolidation of the Warhammer games. AOS will soon be joined to 40K, with Helsmiths stealing technology from the 40K universe the warp barriers between the two are breaking down. Next the Helsmiths will embark on a full-scale invasion of the galaxy and the warp will fold all the realms into each other, resulting in AO40KS. Da Red Gobbo is simply making an early attempt to stop the cataclysm.

Which makes him, objectively speaking, a really good guy.

There are AoS missions almost every year for the Christmas models - its nothing new.

They're usually in the Store guft guides.

This year's gift guide has rules for the Tinboy in 40k - this new mission is just restoring the status quo.

He's just a fun festive character, doesn't need to be locked to the dark millennium.

Yeah, I can't think of anything more fun and festive than the Revolutionary Leader of an Oppressed Lower Class who's sole goal is to rise up and overthrow the ruling class in glorious, violent rebellion.

Didn't you know the the red in the Christmas colours represents the blood of the communist martyrs?

I used Stormcast bodies for my Custodes. Works pretty well.

You're saying he should be a Genestealer Cult model next year?

In before what they show off today is actually the blood angels vs orks box ( red and green for Christmas) and it was never the 11th edition starterbox :p

Though more seriously with all the large campaign implications despite having a time left that gets shorter and shorter, i was wondering for another explanation;

only the first books are 10th with the follow up being 11th :

500 worlds Titus = 10th, 500 worlds cassius is 11th, Armageddon Yarrick is 10th but Armageddon Pedro cantor is 11th etc. If it makes any sense.

Don't see anything on WarCom yet. I expected little today and was still disappointed.

The rumor mill says something will be/was supposed to be up by 2pm UK Time... whenever that is/was.

I excitely checked at 2, and now it's nearly 4. Well, someone botched an upload time methinks.

Yeah, beginning to suspect auto-post wasn't properly set.

Kind of a perfect ending to this Grotmas if we're honest.

It's now half 4 in the afternoon and there's still nothing.

Honestly the perfect way to end the utter disgrace that was this year's Grotmas.
