Model is fine. Just bummed they revealed yet another chaos model. Not like they haven’t gotten enough stuff.

Axe looks like generic chaos lord on foot/jump pack, but it has that imperial eagle... part

Belt buckle is almost same as Abaddons... everyhing looks way too clean.

Looks more like a defaced Astral Claws symbol to me.

Yeah, he is very similar to Abbadon but also very similar to the previous one so...

 

The only thing that really ruins it for me is the mentally impaired smile on his face.From what I read of him in the Nightlords books by ADB he is someone very angry but also cold and bitter. With this face is more similar to a lunatic buffoon.

I love Chaos. The model is cool. 
 

But this Grotmas calendar was an absolute let down this year.

Model looks good. Generic Chaos needed some love. But the whole grotmas calender was a total let down for me. I am also very confused by the Ultramad advertising campaign too.

I wonder if the Ultramad thing was supposed to come out before victrix/500 worlds reveals. It just didn't get done in time, and they invested too much not to use it cause yeah it makes no sense. 

 

Grotmas did feel like a miss this year to me as well, and one of my fractions got a new detachment.

@Jorin Helm-splitter yeah, that is the only thing that seems logical re Ultramad. But then it seemed to be done in response to the outcry post the Ultramarine release.

How are they "probably" DarkMech instead of, y'know, other Red Corsairs? His "crew" as the article itself puts it.
