No Necromunda models, some strange decisions like 2 places for the Saturnine dreadnought or 2 for AoS undead dragon...

I agree with some of the figures but others sounds strange to me.

The article mentions which other minis would have made the AoS top ten if the two Dragons and two Taurus were combined. So someone was clearly thinking about that.

Stranges decisions are indeed the proposals made by GW to enlist as 2 separate entries a single boxed set while defining in the candidates... Then the voters made their choice on a this biased list...

Otherwise, the lack of Necromunda stuff is also maybe related to a thinner player's base: one vote for his church in general...

Yep foolish decision to have both separate entries for dual build kits on one hand, whilst boxed sets of multiple units like Darkwater or Slaves to Darkness Marauders getting counted as one entry; crazy inconsistency.

Forge World Fulgrim definitely got shafted by not being included in any year's vote. Still surprised that Logan won though, personally I don't see anything that special about it; just big.

Is Fulgrim the first plastic Primarch not to win!?

Lucky he's not the sort of person to be upset by something like that....

Fulgrim crown himself and Logan rushes him yelling "Loooooooooooogan Grimnar!"

I'm surprised the Victrix Guard didn't win any accolades. In my opinion that's one of the very best Marine infantry kits GW have released.

As for Logan Grimnar - His model is fantastic, no question. I haven't yet seen it in person, but people have told me it's very impressive.

Also... I almost don't believe that the Saturnine Praetor is a well liked model lol. How did he place as number 2 in that category?

Me neither. Another surprise for me.

I voted for him. The appeal is similar to the Black Templars Castellan (based on Blanche artwork) or Blanche-inspired models in general. There's something very wrong with the future and these brutal, absurd, monstrous takes on the space marine aesthetic exemplify it.

The Saturnine Terminator kits, and especially the Praetor, are closer in design to the HH dreadnoughts than anything in the current Marine line. Massive amounts of flexibility in the posing and conversion potential for days. The preview shots do not do them justice at all.

That said, the Saturnine Dread, whilst kinda cool, is nowhere near the best model they released for "Other" this year. To be there twice is... odd.
