Got me to actually write a complaint to Warhammer customer support for the first time. Got my item in the basket and had to wait 30min. Of course by then it was sold out. I envy every frater in the community who has already given up collecting the special editions. It moved the site breakdown to a new time . I do miss the occasional short story and/or afterword that they used to only put in the LE but my nerves are now much better. Probably not since Catachans seem to be the last of the “Big 3” guard regiments to not have received a refresh yet and I can’t see GW bean counters queueing Vallahans before them. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if they got a Kill Team release soon though. Either way, it’s nice to see them getting love in the books & lore outside of the Cain series, which was always a bit too humorous for me. I would love to see a novel format exploration of their Chapter culture and views. In fact, a novel like this would fit right into a lineup where a Space Marine Chapter gets involved in a conflict and that gets used to showcase the Chapter's culture, idiosyncrasies, leaders, etc. They could call it something like Space Marine Battles or something... I will have to go back and reread the Pike short that his book spun out of, as I don’t recall it or his style of writing. Must say, I’m really enjoying the weekly BL update on WarCom. I attempted to purchase the first LE Wednesday release out of curiousity. As expected the site was overwhelmed by the number of bots attempting access.
