It should never be anybody but Keeble narrating 30k, he is ‘the voice’ (other than Longworth for Garro!)

I'm a bit confused with Blacktalon, each book different author (I don't mind/care) but each completely different cover style, I'm not even sure where they all sit in relation to the animated series.

Maybe we will get one issue of the Scouring each December and it will be finished in 2046 concluding the Horus Heresy after 40 years.

When should we expect the Raptor book to go on preorder?  Newer to 40k, I'm not familiar with the lag between an announcement and the actual posting of the preorder.

Every sunday you get a preview on the Warhammer Community website. This preview presents all the items, that are going to be released the next saturday. Once the Raptors book shows up, you will know its release date.

I dont agree with locking whole settings off like this. Letting new talent try out on should be encourage especially when the story calls for it. 

 

This kind of thinking (oh Swallow called dibs on BA, or Thrope is the Raven Guard bro) really harmed the HH book series.

I got into such a rutt when it came to only reading certain books by authors, that when I saw a Dark Angels Horus Heresy book not written by Gav Thorpe,  I skipped it... and I've never read it to this day

I dont think they are going to shadowdrop something like that without some sort of article announcing it a month beforehand.

Gonna keep banging this drum: we're nearly at the end of September now without a whisper of the next Scouring novel (or even if there will be another Scouring novel). I believe the last update was the timeline article on WarCom back in early March. 

 

I still don't get it. The Heresy was a flagship series. The Siege was a flagship series. They sold a bajillion books. Every community was jonesing for the Scouring. Look at how Dawn of Fire was advertised (as literally the new/next Heresy series) and compare it to the dead air surrounding the Scouring. And, sure, I know it hasn't quite been a year since Ashes was released, and Dawn of Fire had one or two books per year, but man, I would expect something- some kind of hype building, some advertising, anything!

 

If it gets the 'article a month beforehand' treatment, I fully believe it's going to be a two-book 'series' like Black Legion, Iron Hands, Dark Heresy, etc. that will be quietly forgotten about.

I am so aggrieved WRT the lack of acknowledgment from GW/BL that their is even going to be a second Scouring book, let alone a series.  To my mind, there are a couple of possibilities that could explain it.

Firstly, they may have given up on the multi-author route and John French is madly punching the keyboard as we speak.  Hopefully for a pre-Christmas big release like the days of yore (we can Wishlist the final Abnett Inquisition book for a twin release while we are here!).

The second is that book one sold so badly (it took millions-seconds instead of nano-seconds on the FOMO express) that they have canned it.

The third is that someone ‘upstairs’ decided that the series would reveal some secret the company was planning for 2040’s 21st Edition, similar to why the aforementioned Abnett book got shunted to the back of the file cabinet.

I still suspect that book will be be announced and released towards the end of the year. 

The main reason for that is that I suspect they are going to want to release 1 book a year at least. And there is no other heavy hitter books looking due in the next few months.

Iirc, Valrak said months ago (and this might have changed, I havent kept up with his stuff in a long while) that Cavills show was rumored to be in the Scouring and thats the reason why we havent seen any movement 

 

dunno how true that is, but its out there as a rumor
