Am tempted to make us all weep and check how much the Knights box that came with most of this terrain was

I have two of those boxes, second edition versions that had the carapace weapons included.... and I got them at 25% off RRP when that was still a thing at some resellers.

They have been in my 'pile of indecision' since buying them. I've finally decided house Orhlacc and have started test painting an armiger so they may finally get built and painted though that has stalled a bit at the moment.

Actually another thing I want them to make more available from the ad mech terrain is the dome part but ideally without the alchomite stack. I have 5 of those already and really dont need more.

Just to add a little context, the Galvanic Magnavent which is listed at £57 was £45 back in early 2019 which is £58 today if you adjust the price by CPI, or £64 if you use RPI.

When put like that it doesn't seem as horrible a price jump, but it is definitely more than I'd be willing to pay.

Yeah in dollarydoos these prices are too much. $118 for the Cranes, Generatorium and Macro plasma batteries is a joke.

Especially when the Galvanic magnavent which includes all the walkways is $160 but the walkways on their own are $139

Oof the $90 fragdrill is much cheaper than the eBay auctions I’ve seen but still significant more than what £55 would be in exchange rate for USD (about $74 today). I just can’t get behind that because there are no discount resellers for a made to order.

Still… would be nice to have as terrain for my GSC.

well those prices are certainly... something

I wanted the crane for a looted knight to morkanaut conversion. However, for $83CAD plus tax, I'll decline and grab some more bolt action.

Whatever the current pricing is, scenery has always been expensive. Here I am not that surprised and I do not feel like there is any exageration vs past and present GW price policy.
yet the ganteries are an exception: for a small extra you have the manga vent sprue. Ganteries have always been too expensive alone though…

It's a shame it's so hard to find Ray Dranfield's old articles - I seem to remember there's an awful lot of cross compatibility with the frag drill, that lets it be attached to the servo hauler trains or to expand the lift system attached to it into other pieces.

Fake edit - Ah ha! The Wayback Machine to the rescue via an old Faeit212 post.

This is amazing - and suddenly the small arms make sense as part of a TBM or Jumbo!

The fragdrill is something I've been after, not checked the price yet but if it's not insane I'll be getting one for necromunda terrain.

I´m quite baffled by GWs idea of terrain nowdays.

On other hand it seems to be mostly imperium stuff and it was partly compatible with old stuff.

For example, the old promethium pipes were able to "connect" to other pipes, had broken pipe ends, feets, could be rearranged etc. Nowdays the imperium terrain has ports for said promethium pipes and indication that it could be part of pipe network aswell.

BUT THE PIPES BEEN OUT OF PRODUCTION FOR LONG WHILE GW! What gives?!

I was at first tempted but I still need to craft more rust shacks out of cardboard and wood glue. Price point: A few hours of my time compared to a fortune GW demands.

It's a much bigger jump than my 1% pay rise...

Ordered the drill.  FOMO nearly had me order the hub as I dont have it but I'm just not fussed but it. I'd rather get the Sanctum Administratus terrain or the necromunda gang stronghold terrain instead for about £10 more from a 3rd party

I may pick something, but my table is pretty full as a City of Death board.

With those prices, I am going to pass on these. It's not like they are made from gold or something.

I just noticed... the haemotrope reactor issues are still available on the hachette site:

£8.99 per reactor
Warhammer 40,000: Imperium Issue 27

vs GW direct cost £38.50 for two
