sitnam
Can't say I love most of them, I think they callback to a RT/2e aesthetic I don't jive with. But the Brainers are awesome little sculpts. I think the brainers could really work for GSC. sitnam and Dr. Clock 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146034 Share on other sites
brother_b
I love them because I think one of the most iconic pieces of art was the box for the original plastic imperial guard sets. It was epic! I’d buy that image if it ever came out as a painting/displate set. DemonGSides
They all look like Commander Keen. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146124 Share on other sites
SteveAntilles
Those ratlings are terrible. Everything else is pretty... meh. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146154 Share on other sites
Evil Eye
I actually really like these. Great callback to the old RT Imperial Army models, which were delightful little miniatures. Definitely want some of the STLs at the very least! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146164 Share on other sites
phandaal
They look really cool, but those weapons being as thin as they are could be a problem for resin. Still would like to see more of them printed out! Definitely catches that 80s vibe. Using the right resin, something specifically designed for game use models (my go to is Siraya Tech), significantly reduces this issue. phandaal and Evil Eye 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146219 Share on other sites
Evil Eye
Yeah, printer resin has come a long way from the days of "look at it and it snaps". Some are better than others of course, and to some degree you get what you pay for but good printed resin is as good or better than a lot of cast resin. The resin I use (which is absolutely overkill for most people, but isn't even all that expensive) is strong enough you can make 100% printed poseable toys out of it. I wouldn't worry about printing these guys. phandaal 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146221 Share on other sites

But I do get wary whenever I see thin weapon barrels, maybe it is just old print failures coming back to haunt me. ggergnayr Posted yesterday at 02:37 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:37 AM The Brainers would make some real goofy DeLaques. I like ‘em. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387238-space-troopers/#findComment-6146257 Share on other sites
