I actually like some of the new Fantasy models and even incorporated some into my 40k armies- like the giant turtle Harpy proxy I added to my tyranids.

There are quite a few kits of the Nurgle, Vampire and Cities of Sigmar range that I really like (I even played with the idea of creating a guard army using the new cities kits or having the Steampunk dwarves as Inquisitor retinue- before the Votann came back).

In a wave of nostalgia for my long gone Fantasy days, I have bought the hero on Manticore kit (Cities of Sigmar) a couple of years ago- but I have not even opened the box yet.

However, I never really got over the whole re-launch of Fantasy as "Age of Sigmar", so I do not think I will ever create an army.

Of 40k, I am NOT into Eldar, Votann, Tau or Sisters at all.

However, I got the John Blanche collector's model for the sister superior as well as Amalia Novena because they are based on some artwork I have always admired.

I like the new Farsight model with the cherry tree on the base.

I like the Incubi, Lelith Hesperax and Drazhar models- I have even painted all 3 of the Lelith Hesperax models in the past and the latest one is sitting on the shelf here (I have no clue what has happened to the old ones, might be in a box in my parent's attic). I have the Mandrakes Kill Team since it was in the same box as the Night Lords (Nemesis Claw), the models don't look too bad or too Eldar, and I think they might be quite fun to paint (when I one day open up that box, that is).

I got the Votann collector's model a couple of years back, but I just do not like the design of the Votann range.

Kroot Carnivores, Krootox, really any of the Kroot. Been a fan since they were first introduced all those years ago.

The minis are cool, the concept is cool, but I never can manage to paint more than a single unit before moving on to something else. Maybe in a couple more decades I will have enough in the same scheme to make an army. More likely than not, they will continue to be single mercenary squads forever.

I feel you. The army is so cool and so much fun to play, but it did take me literal years to paint them all.

To answer the OP's question... hmm.

I'd have to say the Sisters of Silence. I've never been much a fan of Custodes as an army, but I like the idea of an spec-ops anti-psyker force. Just wish there were a couple other units to go with them rather than having to tag in the golden boys.

Otherwise, Warp Spiders, and their Phoenix Lord who I'm too lazy to look up how to spell. I've never really been drawn to the glass cannon style of the Aeldari army, but boy are Warp Spiders super cool. One of these days, I'll probably get the kit and their leader just to have and paint them.

Man that's surprising to me, I found Kroot one of my quickest and funnest armies to paint. Take contrast and dry brushing super well, imo

Never been into Eldar, but during 2nd edition I was so in love with the Maugan Ra model that I bought it and painted it to my top standard back then.

I also always loved the Abaddon models - be it the old one or the current one, so I bought that. I really don't care about a chaos army, though.

I have the original scions models for IG, but don't care about an IG army.

I love almost all of the Black Templars range but really, really can't collect another marine army.

I could go on like this forever. Fact is, I nowadays own models from almost every GW range, even though I don't care for entire armies of that stuff. With the quality of sculpts I feel it is harder and harder for me to entirely bounce off a faction - I can always find something to like.

Yeah I could see that, there is a lot of skin so if you can do that part up quick, they wouldn't be too bad. My scheme is pretty finicky and detailed though, so some of it is my own fault for sure.

The Great Unclean One. Amazing models, all of them, but I know I will never build and paint one. I am otherwise not into Chaos generally.

I have often considered a squad of regular Battle Sisters, but the range in general I don’t like.

The Screamer-killer from Leviathan. I’ll never collect tyranids but damn that thing is cool.

Naughty marines generally do nothing for me, but I must admit that I find the Lord Discordant quite cool. I also quite like the Bloodthirster having received it as a gift years ago, but I am even less interested in Daemons than naughty marines. They just feel to me like a Warhammer Fantasy army that is lost in time, but the Bloodthirster is a solid sculpt regardless.

I don't think I actively dislike any of the 40K line, except for Custodes. What a headache.

As for models I like in armies I doubt I'll ever, the new Keeper of Secrets. I think they did a good job on balancing sensuality and terror.

Likewise, I will likely never get Nurgle but the Great Unclean one is wonderfully crafted. Which reminds me, I have tinkering with the daemon Prince model as a conversion for...oh, about three years, haha.  I'll throw that in my little projects WIP Thread.

I like a lot of models and a lot of armies in one way or another.. its a hard one to answer, but here I go :

Chaos knights,

my second least liked army ( the first being imperial knights.) and while I will never have an inclination to buy it, I kind of love this one :

Its (mostly) because of the birds.. not just because I like birds, but their presence adds a lot of flavor/animation/I really cant describe the word of what I mean. Everytime I see this image, the image becomes a living scene in my head, and that I love.
There are a lot of AoS models doing this ( and quite some failing at it by being too busy like Archaon ) but its quite rare in 40k. And everytime I see this kit.. I imagine how it would look to have flocks of razorwings flying alongside the Drukhari Raider/ravagers hull...

Craftworld Eldar/Asuryani
Its all too sleek and similar, clean futurism is not what drew me to 40k, that said I always look at them from a converting lense since the first day I became an "eldar player" in 2nd edition. And while every other eldar range/concept (including any Asuryani outcasts) are among my favorite 40k things.. and while I dont necessarily hate a lot craftworld kits, there are still 3 kits from craftworlds I absolutely love just the way they are :

the Avatar of Khaine, Jain Zar and Howling Banshees.

Spacemarines (all loyal spacemarines, except spacewolves.)
This isnt your typical "I hate spacemarine" thing.. I like spacemarines, I just dont like them as an army of the same thing copied over and over completely losing the sense of them being spacemarines (for my taste!), Spacewolves fixes this slightly due to the contrast with the wolf elements, and chaos does it perfect due to the presense of mortals and daemons.

That said, I absolutely love 5 kits, though 3 of them I see as an extension of each other :

-- The Lion
-- Inner circle companions
-- Black templar sword brethern
-- Black templar marshal ( by extension )
-- Black templar Ancient ( by extension )
-- And as a newcomer the absolutely lovely Aeton Shaan ( I voted for him! )

Absolute spaceknight goodness.

Ohh and the spacewolves wolfpriest with the proper head, just to make it even harder to combine it in a single army :

Sisters of Battle
On a model to model basis, this range has a lot of great kits.. nothing in there I particularily dislike. I dont like them as an army though, for different reasons than the rest on this list, and in that sense it fits the topic. But if there ever is a kit that half makes me think "get over it" its this :

( I assume, in some form of self-analysis, that its for the very same reason as the chaos knight one.. you almost smell the incense and hear the chants.)

This one walking among a rabble of ecclesiarchy members and Admech hodgepodge with 2 custodes standing in watch,  all in support of my spacemarine selections.. now that would be an army I'd go for hard. Sadly (or not) Imperium is too fragmented for my taste and each army too focused on a single concept.
