The guys who sculpted the originals are still there. The 40k studio would mess it up. The moulds specifically made for resin don’t last that long - so I think Forgeworld made-to-order is less likely. I guess if they have a good master they can make a new mould. Evil Eye Posted January 1 Share Posted January 1 FW made-to-orders would be amazing. If they did that with the old Mk. IV Dreadnoughts or Hive Tyrants I'd buy as many as I could. I suspect even if they don't have the original masters anymore, as long as they have a good enough copy they could still reproduce them, possibly by 3D scanning them, digitally cleaning them up and then printing a new master. Given you can get surprisingly decent scan results with phone apps I can't imagine GW wouldn't be able to digitize their analogue sculpts for a reissue somehow. They've done several over the years, including stuff like the Necron heavy constructs, but most relevant to this discussion they did one for Lugft Huron, Sevrin Loth, Regents of the Ordon Rift and the Land Speeder Tempest at the beginning of 2024.
