Oh my, for me his face is on par with the updated coteaz. Rest is ok but definitely urgh was my first reaction. Shame as he's so iconic.

Oh big disagree. I think he looks absolutely fantastic. He might be my favourite CSM model in years.

It's interesting that the rumor engine I thought might be the hamadryads isnt that, but definitely has the same vibe.. to the point I'd almost be suprised if the RE doesn't end up being related to this release anyway.

Maybe that rumored "hunters" unit has ( or is ) full grown hamadryads hunting hounds ( demonic hounds )

Your honour, I love him.

He looks as gnarly and vicious as his cyborg pirate butt should. The fur cloak, despite being quite ubiquitous among Chaos characters these days, does help in adding a "reaver lord" air to him. And I also like the addition of the Red Corsairs symbol to his leg plate.

Very nice all around. Can't wait to see his pals (as well as the other Corsairs).

I’m normally a hater, I think it’s a great model. I do think the head is a bit cartoonish, but I’ll probably kitbash as a different model anyway.

Definitely an upgrade over the old metal / finecast model. The proportions seem a bit strange - it strikes me as a quite a bit larger model than regular power armor CSM.

I mean, this is consistent with how Huron is described before and after the Badab War. He's an absolute behemoth of a Space Marine.

I hate the face and the pose. His face is too mechanical.

It should be though. Dude basically died to a point blank melta gun. The only part I don't appreciate is maybe he looks like he's smiling, but that's a mild complaint for what is a fantastic update otherwise.

He's got a lot of "We've got Logan Grimnar at home" energy.  He gets a tactical pebble in comparison, half an axe, and only one dog (it's a bald chihuahua with scraggly teeth that won't stop shivering).

Grimnar also gets to oppose the inquisition, kill an inquisitor, and mostly get away with it.

Huron was hit in the lightning claw with a combi-melta blast and it severely damaged the right side of his body, but I never imagined it as some cartoon nonsense where he's split down the middle 50/50 as if he was Two Face. The face on the new model looks nothing like any of his previous depictions. It doesn't look like a cyborg, he looks like a disguised robot instead. As if he was never flesh and blood in the first place.

.......which is pretty appropriate if half of you blows up and you need to be rebuilt.

Well yeah, it should be a smaller axe because he's swinging it one handed.

The privileges of being a 1st Founding Chapter as opposed to a 10th Founding Successor of unknown heritage.

Every depiction of Huron before this showed him with cybernetics that had skin stretched over them with about 20% of the metal underneath showing. It didn't look like this in any of the official art and I don't think this is appropriate at all. I think this looks worse and if I can change the model once I get my hands on it I will. You're free to enjoy the model as it is, but you're not going to convince me by saying this is correct because it simply doesn't appeal to me in the looks department.

I don't completely like the face, and the axe head isn't great either; it's very similar to other CSM figures. But the pose,I think is much better than Juan Díaz did back then. More classic, and definitely doesn't looking it's singing. If I could, I'd give this new one the axe and head from the old one... and maybe the "iron aura" in the backpack.

It's not bad,but neither great.

The face is too cartoony and I don't like the pose at all, he just looks like a generic chaos warlord. I would have much preferred something like this artwork.

GW has done some pretty good fire sculpts over in AoS, and a burning corpse held in Huron's claw would definitely have gone much harder than this pose.  Maybe it's a conversion we'll see for this mini in the future.  Though that may be difficult.  Despite the claw being like his defining, iconic, unique weapon, he's very "axe forward" in this sculpt.  It'd be a lot of conversion work to make the claw the focal point of the pose.
