Apparently we'll see Arkhan on chariot for OBR which is the bones. I remember the first time Arkhan was on a chariot so here's hoping it's a suitably epic centrepiece.

For 40k I'd love to see the defiler. However, assuming that'll be later.

As I'm in North BC I'll be watching at lunch.

Sound like it’ll make an excellent addition to my collection… out in the Ash Wastes XD

Simply watching as an agent of chaos, if the Custodes minis are of the "have always been there" variety, the fallout will be fun to watch

Wondering if the plate of golden bananas with plume is hitting more on the nose than some might think. I am wondering if some of the new stuff will be new sprue for new heads of..as you say that variety.

According to Valrak, Custodes are indeed getting new plastics, and those kits will in fact contain new parts for that subset of Custodes who have always been there since the very beginning of everything forever.

Kinda flew under the radar when he mentioned it, but it would line up if those are going to be shown off today.

If that is true than thank the Emperor for that.

Current Custodes look a bit trash tbh and are in need of an update, so that plus more head options wouldn't hurt.

And, of course, if any of the new options aren't to your liking just use the Helmets as always.

It's not like we're returning to old Lore where Big E had them all fighting buck naked.

The worst thing about female custodes will be how people who aren't happy about them will get vilified again. My cousin hates female custodes and she got ran out of her local flags by the "tolerant" lefties.

Let's not get this thread locked before the stream even happens.

If they're there, they're there.

At the end of the day, it's just more expensive GW plastic in a new shape and none of us are obliged to buy it if we don't want it.

How else are they supposed to release new models or units though? Either we progress the storyline or we pretend Custodes always had, I dunno, a stealthy scout unit as an example.

Honestly their helmets are what I hate the most. Get some Stormcast on the cheap and use those instead, suddenly you got some cool looking dudes.

Yup, 40k does this all the time. For example, we pretend Space Wolves always had dreadnoughts with shields and axes and flew wolf-head shaped gun ships with ice beams.

edit: A much better example "HERE ARE THE LEAGUS OF VOTANN! SQUATS WERE ACTUALLY COOL ALL ALONG!"

Good job Geedubs

Tbf it's just one named character.

If anything it increases the odds of Tau getting a full unit of them.

Like Centurions? Or the Rogal Dorn Tank? Or Wulfen?

Or, hell, all the different types of all the different types of Custodians.

Not quite.  There was never past statements in 40k specifically excluding those new units.

I can't believe how good the Red Corsairs look.

Wow. The release is a lot more substantial than I expected as well. Unique infantry unit, generic hero and a bunch of named characters.

Lol the Ultramarines of Renegades :-P

Oh dear. I've been spending the last few days oggling Votann models and that Combat Patrol is almost exactly what I want to paint... Here I was thinking that I was going to skate through this reveal show without needing to bust out the wallet lol

I really like the look of the Raiders.

They're definitely more renegade than Chaos, so it's kind of a shame that Huron and his lads (and ladettes) are so blatantly chaos and/or locked to being one big unit.

Nothing some conversion wouldn't fix though.

I tuned out for a sec, where they saying that the Maelstorm book would allow people to basically turn characters into fully fledged powerful heroes? Or is that just a Crusade or campaign thing? That's the kind of thing I miss from 9th, my Coldstar commander running around with an Onager Gauntlet punching people to death.
