If there was any way of getting Seals of Reconquest on Sicarius leading a Victrix Honor Guard Squad it would make it fun to try and make a go of it.  Calgar and some Terminators, Sicarius, Whatever, and some Victrix - all those AP -3 or better Power Fists, Thunderhammers, Lightning Claws and Power Swords, all in a fluffy little box.  Add a Terminator Ancient (primarily for the Liberatrum Enhance) to Calgar's unit, and now they're OC2, have Calgar's mobility gimmick, reroll charges, and can use Calgar's 1 CP per turn to pay for adding 2 inches to the charge roll and 1 attack to every model melee in the unit.   But it bugs me we can't give the Victrix the 5+++.  Especially since its about the only unit I'd look at (here) that doesn't already have a 4++ that I'm looking at for more than a capper/action monkey.

I see plenty of potential in the detachment. It plays into how I've already structured my Ultras lists around multiple large melee threats supported by some heavy hulls and supporting units. Think I'm going to give the below a try next week.

Calgar joins the Assault Terminators with the Ancient in Deepstrike, Titus and the BG ancient join the Bladeguard in a Land Raider, Wardens join the Intercessors, and Sicarius obviously joins the Victrix in the other Land Raider.

 

Three major melee threats with some movement and redeployment trickery should be enough to keep an opponent on their toes. General plan would be to sweep in early and aggressively to bully the opponent off objectives, bringing down Calgar and Co from orbit as early as possible to support that. Wardens bounce around the back field stickying objectives and performing actions while the Assault Intercessors come down behind the melee units to do the same up the field.

 

There's a little less long range anti-tank than I'd usually bring but feel it's probably worth it to beef the melee threats to sweep objectives clear. Plus my Land Raiders usually do well taking out tanks and monsters between the two of them.
