Lathe Biosas
I've been hunting for some second hand bits for my 1k Incursion Marine army, and I wanted to know if people (some of who are a tad competitive) really care if I use the old Drop Pod or do I have to use the new kit? From looking at the rules, the doors aren't part of unit, but it's finicky as heck to get models to stand on them. Plus the old model is a lot easier to transport than the new one. What's your take on this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387389-old-drop-pods/ Share on other sites
Karhedron
I would have no issues but I still run a couple of (really) old Rhinos for my Blood Angels so I may not be the best person to ask. DanPesci
I think in most cases people really wouldn't care. The size is (from what I can tell) more or less the same, and you ignore the doors for the purposes of hull measurement, so could just use the old pod and if people really were bothered, keep the doors up. AS with anything like this if going to a tournament, probs best to check with the TO, but I for one would much prefer you turn up with an old pod than one of those new kits Edited Thursday at 04:48 PM by DanPesci DemonGSides and Lathe Biosas 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387389-old-drop-pods/#findComment-6150653 Share on other sites
calgar101
I would not care myself, I doubt the size difference is that much of a problem, no reason not to use them in friendly games. Tournament games would be a check with TO case but I imagine only the super serious ones would say no. W.A.Rorie
Personally I would allow both versions of the Drop pod. Solution Evil Eye Posted Thursday at 07:22 PM Solution Share Posted Thursday at 07:22 PM It's identical in size to the new one. No reason anyone should raise a fuss. calgar101, Lathe Biosas and Karhedron 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387389-old-drop-pods/#findComment-6150670 Share on other sites
