Was the Krieg combat patrol a limited product?

I'd picked up the krieg christmas box and was going to get one or two of the krieg combat patrols to go with it, but my local was already out of stock, and so are the mail order stores I sometimes use. I also can't even find a listing for it on the Warhammer Canada website, and my local which had it listed as out of stick no longer has it listed at all either. I was under the impression it was going to be in regular production but I guess maybe not? Anyone able to confirm whether it will be coming back or not?

Yes it was a limited product unfortunately. All the extra combat patrols that came out at the end of last year were, but GW didn't do a very good job of actually telling us that.

I don't know about ROW, but eBay Oz has same at launch prices still.

Oof well, wish I’d jumped on it earlier. Really thought it would be a regular thing, the contents went quite well with the Christmas pack for adding some krieg flavour to an army, able to split off into it’s own 750-1k mini group if wanted. They should not have called them just combat patrols then which have always been a constant product, always kept in stock more or less and updated occasionally from edition to edition.

Are you talking about the one with 5 Deathriders, 10 troops, heavy weapons and command squad?
 

If so, they aren’t a limited release! They’re still on GW and most discount sellers!

Only the Christmas box was limited. The combat patrol is supposed to always be available although I dont think anyone needs that many riders and weapons teams from more than two boxes.

I wonder what’s up then. A lot of 3rd party retailers in canada are out of stock and several have removed the listing completely from their sites. Found 2 stores that each have 1 so far, and one charges for shipping.

 

more concerning, the krieg combat patrol is not listed on the canadian warhammer store sight either

So not all the Combat Patrols are here to stay, the Kreig one as well as several of the Codex compliant Chapter specific CPs (IH, IF, UM)  were a limited release. The Kreig CP is not on the US webstore either these days. 

 

I'd also keep an eye out cause the Battalions for the 500 worlds campaign are also  looking to be limited.

So frustrating. I know battleforces and most other box sets are limited amounts usually, but there was no mention of that for these and they specifically called them combat patrols, which are usually persistent boxed sets that are always available, sometimes the same box for 2 or more editions.

 

I would have liked to pick up 2 of them to go with the krieg battleforce I bought at Christmas, wasn’t in any rush and figured I would spread the cost out over a few months instead of all at once. I could buy individual boxes I suppose but will probably just keep the krieg section of the army smaller than I originally planned.

Understood, I would have loved to get the IF one since it had a Company of Heroes in it. It was already sold out when I found out about the limited nature of the boxes. Like you I had assumed it was going to stay. The local GW manager informed me otherwise.
